I sprained my back at work a couple weeks ago and had to have an MRI. I thought I herniated a disc because of the pain involved. I was very shocked to have the doctor tell me that I had a severe case of osteoarthritis and that I needed to see a specialist. This is what made the sprain so painful. He told me that my lower vertibrae had already shifted.
My mother has it and is on a pain pump and has limited mobility. I never knew that it was hereditary. I am only 33. I have an 8 year old autistic son and 2 jobs. I have always had some back pain. I associated it with lifting him and lifting at work. I am very upset over this. If anyone can share some info I would really appriciate it. What do I have to look forward to? I am going to make an appointment to see another doctor asap. Help....
