Is there a list somewhere of cabins that truly sleep 5? I can't seem to find one. Disney's info is vague at best (sleeps 4-5) and of course, when looking at a certain cruise, I can see which cabins that sleep 5 are available, but not all that would be an option if they weren't sold out. Does a list like this exist?

I believe you're looking for a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. In terms of regular, non-suite rooms, that's it, I think.

I thought that, too, but within that category, the 4E's don't fit five at all and the 4D's-4A's still say fit 4-5 which is making me pull my hair out LOL. Same for Cat 8's -- 8A only fits 4, 8B-D seems to be 4-5. I was hoping some site might have a list of the ones that actually fit five.

I think I heard that they say 4-5 because occupancy is not just determined by the cabin itself. It’s also about overall occupancy of the ship and the section of the ship. So a room may be able to fit 5 they will only allow 4 to book it if that area is full?

I think some of the Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms would sleep 5... I have no clue which, as I'm solo and don't have to deal with big numbers like that. But those can have the murphy bed as well which would potentially mean 5.

I don't think you're required to have a verandah just because there are 5.

I booked a room for 5 and two different CMs told me that the Deluxe Oceanview w/ Verandah that are not connecting (no door between cabins) are not able to sleep 5 (Queen Bed, Day bed, Ceiling Bunk Bed and Wall Murphy Bed). It got more confusing though because just because a Deluxe Oceanview w/ Verandah room IS connecting, doe not necessarily mean that it can sleep 5. n It's just CERTAIN connecting Deluxe Oceanview w/ Verandah. Clear? Me either...except that they both assured me that our room next January can sleep 5. Fingers crossed! popcorn::

If you have 5 on your reservation, you will be in a cabin that sleeps 5. The system will not pull up cabins that won't accommodate your party.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but we are also a family of five and have found that booking two adjoining rooms (category 7A) were less expensive than booking a single Deluxe Oceanview room. We did this on our 2015 Fantasy cruise and are doing the same on the Magic cruise we're taking next month.

Just to clarify... Adjoining means next to or across the hall from each other, but no door between. Connecting means a door between. Use the wrong term and you are liable to end up with a rude awakening when you arrive somewhere - and you will really have no recourse to complain as if they are next door or across the hall but without a door and you requested "adjoining" you got exactly what you asked for.

Are there even 7As next to each other? I thought there were like 4 7As each deck that has them on the Dream and Fantasy.

Not all staterooms in that category will sleep 5, only some. True that as the ship fills up, it may not be possible to fill every bed in any given stateroom. But only some of the “Deluxe Family” staterooms have enough beds for 5 anyway.

:thumbsup2This is the best we have here on the DIS. Someone posted recently that a DCL phone rep was able to give them info about rooms for 5; not sure if you could get a full list though.

Ah, yes... sorry. I meant connecting, not adjoining. And yes, we have two connecting 7A rooms on our upcoming cruise on the Magic. We had the same set-up of connecting rooms for 5 people on the Fantasy, although now that I think about it, those rooms were 8B (large porthole). (My parents were in a third room next door that was a 7A.)

Gotcha. Yes, the Magic and Wonder have more 7A than the Dream Class ships and therefore has the potential to have some connect.
