Hello everyone! My name is Rachal (but I go by Zara online for most things!), and I have a confession... I was bit by the Disney bug.
I am a 27 year old mother of one little boy, age 7. And married for 8 years to the love of my life who just turned 31.
We spent 8 days at Disneyland earlier this year at the end of January. We all live in California, born and raised in the same small town, somewhere between SF and Sacramento. Husband is a wind turbine technician, with a degree in power plant operations. I manage a children's website online.
In March, after a long battle with COPD, my father passed away. In July, on what would have been their 25th wedding annniversary, my mom is taking me and my son on a cruise to Mexico. She wanted to be anywhere but here on that date. We'll be doing a day at Knotts berry farm before we leave, and 2 nights at the Grand Californian upon our return. (and another 3 days at DL to celebrate my 29th birthday!)
Just yesterday... we booked our trip to Disneyworld for September. My son turns 8 on the 10th, and what better way to have a magical birthday than spending it at Disneyworld for a first trip?! We will be staying at the WL for 7 nights, from the 7-14th of September. We have 10 day parkhopper passes for the duration. We will be spending the 14th-21st at a timeshare resort off property, and do Universal and possibly SeaWorld. (Mom wants a day at the beach too!)
We have the Deluxe Dining plan while we are there, and I'm scrambling to put together an itinerary for the meals because I have read that I need to get those reservations in like... 70 days ago!
While we are down there, my husband and I will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary as well. (Sept is our month for celebrating!) And I"m so thrilled and excited to have a chance to enjoy some Disney magic on this trip. I spent all DAY yesterday pouring over the boards, I"ve read so many threads and I'm excited to get in on the discussion and fun I've seen.
