We're taking our Son for his first ever time (we've been before but years ago now!), he is 4.5yrs old and I want to know what the definite must do's are with him?
Id say definetly have a meal at Cafe Mickey and visit the new toy story playland, do as many organised meet and greets as you can as opposed to the scrums. Watch all the parades. Also in the main disney hotel around 3pm charaters do a fantastic show / dance and all the kids are involved, exact times can be found on their newsletter in reception
Hope it's a magical trip for him! I too would recommend a meal at Cafe Mickey or Inventions for great character interactions for him - he might also like the Buffalo bill Show? Rides would have to include pirates of the Caribbean, small world and t-cups - have not seen the new toy story playland - but from all accounts it sounds brilliant! Hope you have a lovely trip!
My DS is 3. He loved Stitch Live, Animagique, Cars ride and Slinky Dog in the studios and Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan and Small World in the main park.
First trip he loved the characters but second trip he wouldn't go near them. Cafe Mickey was a great sucess first time, although someone advised not to go till you had been at disney for a bit and ds has had a bit time to settle to the idea of them.
I have taken both of my eldest DD's at this age. The things they enjoyed were: the parades, the dragon underneath the castle, IASW, meeting characters in the DLH, being able to decide what they would like to do next.
