Define "Activate Tickets"

I ordered new Annual Passes (FL resident) for my DD & I today. Going to pick them up at Will Call on Saturday. She has a friend visiting from out of state, and of course Saturday is the only day they can see each other.

If I pick up her ticket, will that count as 'activating' it for the 15 month promotion? Or does she actually have to go through he gate with it? She is 14, so doesn't have an ID to show proof of residency.

I will disagree. Since she is not a Florida Resident the special 15 month promotion does not apply. Also, the ticket must be prepaid by December 31 and picked up by January 14, as well as being a Florida Resident, to be eligible for the 15 month expiration.

Either you or I have misread the post from the OP (disphoto.)

As I see it, disphoto's daughter IS a Florida resident, but the daughter is 14 and does not have a state ID.

disphoto HAS already ordered her two new AP's and disphoto will be picking the new AP's up at Will Call before Jan. 14.

The confusion is likely in that disphoto's daughter will not be coming along with disphoto to pick up the AP's.

The daughter will be back at home visiting with a non-Florida resident friend That friend is not going to WDW or buying any WDW tickets.

OK, my confusion. Look at the time stamp on my Post #4. I read it that not only would the OP be picking up the passes for himself and his daughter, but also buying one for DD's out of state friend. I should not have been up and on the boards then.
