Does anyone know if any of the DVC resorts has a pool that is deeper than 5 feet? We love SAB but DH is a tall man and would enjoy swimming in something deeper too.

The lazy river section of SAB has parts that go to I think about 8 feet.

My thoughts tell me that at WL feature pool, it is quite deep where the "stream" flows into the pool.

I think it's a liability issue. If everything is less than 5' depth, nobody is tempted to dive (well there will always be some). Too many diving accidents happened at pools that allowed diving in the past, resulting is some deaths and cripplings Also at a 5' depth, most adults no matter whther they can swim or not, can touch bottom and keep heads above water. I'm sure this makes the lifeguards' jobs a little easier.

Then again, I am just theorizing here. Anyone with hard facts, please contradict away (I will not be offended).

The only "deep" pool I know of is the wave pools at the water parks--elsewhere..haven't seen any over 5 feet.

I think one of the previous posters is correct...it seems to me there is a fairly deep section of SAB where the lazy river is.

I am 5'11" and I also seem to think there were a few other spots that were a little deeper at SAB when you are staying at BCV.::MickeyMo

The pool at River Country is 10-12 feet deep. Below where the slides drop you in. The old Poly pool was 10 feet deep, don't know about the new one.

True. In fact, Disney does a lot of lifeguard training in that area of the lazy river which makes me suspect it may be the only deep water pool among the resorts.

SAB lazy river section is definitely too deep to stand, its nice to have available at a DVC resort.
