I guess God is whipping my conscious tonight. I apologize to all I offended. I apologize for the lilly white comment I made also. Don't get me wrong I still feel the way I feel about slavery but, not once did you see me ask for reparartion because I am against it also.Not once did I say that white people owed black people anything. I think alot of you were out of line also. I believe it is a heartless person to tell Someone to go Back to Africa. Two wrongs don't make a right and I found myself stooping to levels of such degredation after I saw that. When you continue to stereotype Black people with "All black people are on welfare" "Black people do drugs moreso than white people", "More black children are from broken homes", Come on now. Don't you see that's racist. Those statistics hit every race so quit labeling. While that attitude still exist towards minorities on here, in the workplace EVERywhere There will always be racism.

Disfanatiks thank you. I am not hurt I just hate I stooped to such ignorance on the Debate board. I let another persons ignorance and racist views cause me to say some things about their race that I am not proud of. I know that there is good and bad in all races and people should not judge others as I did tonight after reading what some of them wrote about slaves. They are entitled to their own opinion. I can't change that nor will I try to make people see that their words can add wood to the fire so to speak just as mine did I am sure. I for one refuse to stoop down in that type of dirt ever again. Me being a God Fearing woman I had to repent and say I'm sorry because no one is worth me sending my soul to hell.

Princess Ariel - I haven't seen the post you are talking about, but if it is still around, you should report it to a Moderator or WebMaster. The DIS is a wonderful place where rascism is not tolerated. I'm sorry that something that sounds so ugly has been posted on the DIS.

I also understand how anger can make us say and feel something that we normally wouldn't. I've done that myself many times.

I didn't read the thread either, but I think you need to learn the difference between statistics and racism. If the people who said

based that on a series of studies, then they are being factual, not racist.

I'm sorry I don't agree. No one can generalize one race as doing something. I have never seen people going door to door asking do you snort or shoot up. That is everywhere in alot of communites. Divorce hit's every race. Drugs are used by every race. So Imho I don't think it is true or accurate. If anything generalization widens the stereotypical view that so many have.

You don't agree because you don't understand statistics. You think the only way to get data for a study is to go door to door? How about a retrospective study of medical records?

Do you understand the meaning of the word "more"? Your pointing out that these problems exist in every community says absolutely nothing as to who has MORE of a problem, be it based on percentage or total numbers.
