I noticed today that my local Meijer big-box store was clearing out Avanti compact refrigerators for about $50 each. They were actually rather sizeable for "compact" fridges -- 2.5 cubic foot capacity. If you happen to be in a state with a Meijer store, you might want to see if they have these. Assuming you are okay with hauling around a larger-size compact fridge, you can avoid hotel rental fees and just use your own fridge.
