Deed Posted, Now What?

We are in the home stretch of buying a DVC resale. Closing papers are returned, funds are moved, our deed has posted on the website of the Orange County Comptroller.

What steps are next? Anyway to move it along faster? Would really like to book our 2021 dates!

The title company will send the Deed to Disney. Disney (I believe Member Admin) will setup your membership and/or add the new contract. Member Services will add the points to the contract (anywhere from 1-day to 2 weeks). I was able to call member services to get the points loaded a little quicker, but that was only after the contract had been added. Check out the Closing thread to get an idea of how long it typically takes from deed recorded to points loaded.

If you are an existing Member then it takes Member Services around 10 days - 2 weeks or so to add it to your account. You get an email saying your transfer has been completed.

If you are a new member then I think MS email you and that way you create an account etc.

I received an email from Member Admin. There was no notification for the points being loaded - I just kept an eye on my account.
