There are currently 30 treehouses dedicated to DVC so far right?

Any word on if any or how many more will be dedicated and when? I am really hoping to get my waitlist for a treehouse for later this year. :goodvibes

The fact that only 30 of the treehouses have been added to inventory has no bearing on the number that are available to members. The treehouses are legally part of Saratoga Springs. DVC uses its holdings to make a variety of Studio, One Bedroom, Two Bedroom, Three Bedroom and Treehouse villas available to cash guests.

Member availability at the treehouses is already well above the 30 declared units.

huh? This is a new one for me..Are you saying more than 30 are available to DVC members to reserve?

Always have been.

Legal declarations have never had any bearing on the type of rooms that DVC makes available to members for points bookings.

DVD "owns" about 450,000 points worth of SSR via those undeclared Treehouses, but the points are used toward a variety of different room sizes.

I'm not sure what I missed here. My understanding is that the declared inventory is the entire universe of what potentially may be available to DVC members. If units have not be declared into the inventory, then they aren't available (for points reservations).....yes?

You are saying that on any given day, more treehouses could be available to use than have been declared into the inventory?

The declarations are a legal move to add new points to the inventory. DVC has never been bound to assign members only to physical units which have been declared.

If the Treehouses were a stand-alone resort the situation would be much more restrictive. But since they are just a small portion of the large Saratoga Springs resort, DVC has a great deal of flexibility.

Call Member Services right at the 11 month window and ask how many treehouses are available to book. Assuming they can still access such information (after last fall's computer upgrades), and you get a rep who is willing to answer the question, the answer should be more than 30 villas.
