Dedicated Studios

Which resorts have dedicated studios? (Isn't that what you call a studio that is not connected to a 1 BR?) There was a thread recently about how studios that are connected to 1 BRs can sometimes be noisier depending on where the connecting door is. The thread was specifically about OKW, but when I looked at the floor plan of the BWV, I realized it had about the same location of the door.

Also, can you request a dedicated studio? (I know a request is only a request, not a guarantee.)

I think the "dedicated" studios are a type of room and not just a request. Every time I've had that indicated on my reservation, that's what it's been. VWL, BCV, BWV, AKV are where I've stayed in dedicated studios. What I'm not sure about is if "dedicated" was on the BCV reservation. I don't remember that it was.

I checked my old reservations and at VWL, BCV and BWV, I have been put in dedicated studios when the reservation did not indicate it. In Jambo they always have said dedicated, but not at the others.

I do like the dedicated studios and wish the others would guarantee them as well.

The only reason I hesitate to request a "dedicted studio" at VWL is because of the "dumpster view" studios. They are dedicated according to the map. My main request is to be near the elevators, hoping to circumvent those DV rooms!

Yes, that's true. We've had the end/next to the end dedicated studios, but don't mind them as much as other people here do. Sometimes we've requested two studios or we have other villas and they've all been in the same general area, so the people in those studios aren't stuck with that only view. There are also other dedicated studios that we've had there as well. We've done most of our family trips at VWL so far.
