We have been to WDW many times(20+), however the since moving north and having kids we have not gone as frequently.
In 2004 we were able to do the pay for 4 stay for 7
In 2005 we did the pay for 5 stay for 7 (had a special name, sorry cannot remember)

So we are looking into going again this summer....like in a few weeks.

1. Choice - Ft. Wilderness cabin $1,960.84 room only
$3,874.98 room & hoppers+
$5,120.56 room/hopper/dining
(this is for 6 people)

2. Pop $1,716.68 room
$3,948.40 room/hoppers
$5,466.91 room/hoppers/dining
( 7 people - if son can come)

Now, while checking these quotes CM gets totally excited because a "special" popped up on screen for upgrade.

3. Port Orleans Riverside special deal- room/hopper/dining
*deal cannot be split up to room only or
room w/hoppers
grand total : $5,396.35 for 7 people

So....decsion time? Opinions? What do y'all think?

We prefer cabin with no dining, but the Riverside is looking very tempting.

Thanks in advance.

We've stayed at FW, but it was awhile ago - they had the RVs for rent then - and it has changed a bit, I'm sure. Our stay there was fine, but the resort is a bit isolated from the other resorts - which can be a good thing! ;) DS wants to try the cabins, but we have not yet been able to do that. They do look nice. We found the bus transportation to be okay, but we had a car, so we used it a good bit. I think a car at FW is a good idea.

We are fans of the POR/POFQ complex. The prices are great and the resorts are really lovely. I would opt for POR because of the options available with regard to transportation - buses to the parks and watercraft over to DTD. It is in a good location.

We've not yet been to POP. It is very popular. We are also fans of trying new resorts at WDW when the opportunity arises. Trying something a little different can be a lot of fun if the budget allows. :goodvibes

I'd go with choice #1. The price is the best, and although I've never stayed in one of the cabins, I've heard they have plenty of room for a party of six. I would only do this if you're going to be renting a car. If you're going with Disney transportation, I'd go with the POR option.
