Decorative Nailheads

I have some "decorative nailheads" for scrapbooking. I attached one to a sb page, but I have no idea how to flatten out the "pokey" pieces. Has anyone used these? What do you do? Help! Thank you!

I think I figured this out with some persistence . Those pokey things sure are stubborn, but I used a pair of scissors to flatten them as bet as I could.

Judith I use my hammer and don't pound but kind of push them over with it. I used them a few times and didnt' care for them because of the backs!

spinning, these scallops are the only nailheads I have. I don't think I'll buy any more anytime soon. Plus I called the LSS where I bought them & spoke to the owner. She isn't carrying them any more either.
