I received a pair of bi-fold doors from a friend who found them when she was looking for things to decorate her new home. This friend of mine knew I LOVED anything Disney so she held onto them for me.

They are a light wood, and each has a glass panel in the top half. On the glass panel, there is a sticker that makes it look as if they are stained glass. In the center of the glass, there is Mickey on one 1/2 and Minnie on the other. The sticker itself is all one piece, and is situated underneath the edges of the trim around the glass panel. On the corner of the sticker it has "The Walt Disney Co. TM Wing Industries Inc".

I am looking for ANY information on these. I have tried to look them up online and came up with only one thing...that Wing Industries was, in fact, a door company. I can't find anything else. If anyone has any suggestions...I would love to hear them. :)

We have Disney doors, not folding doors, these are full size doors with Disney characters on them. They are on the girls bedroom doors. We had a house fire and when we rebuilt we wanted to get them the Disney doors, unfortunately they weren't going to make any longer so we asked the contractor if we could buy the display doors and our request was approved. DD15 has Princesses on the outside of her door and Tink on the inside (her room is also painted Tinkerbell green), DD12 has Mickey on the outside of hers and Cinderella on the inside (her room is blue). The doors were originally sold at Home Depot so that might help. :) Good luck!

Guys u really think different, only few of folks like to bifold doors, i knew its the best way to decorate anything whether it is house or disney.

Hi,

So it turns out I know exactly the doors you are speaking of (we have 2 different sets of Disney bi-fold doors made by wing industries sitting in storage).

I know I'm 2+ years late on responding, but I was wondering a few things:

1) Did you ever track some others down?
2) if so what did you pay for them?
3) do any of you know who/where to contact for pricing them? Google doesn't seem to have any records about these doors, so I suspect that they're now a collectible, so we'd like to figure this sort of thing out.

We're in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, so if any of you know about collectors in our area, that too would be helpful. I'll try to post a photo of the doors later this week if anyone is interested.

Let me know if you (or anyone else) knows about these doors. There's no real need for me to keep them in storage if they're worth some money and someone else will enjoy them (yes they're still in the original packaging, but the boxes are pretty beaten up).

Cham0130...those are the exact same questions that I had about the doors. I have never come across anyone else that knew anything about them. Where they came from...etc...

I tried posting pictures of them, but I'm not too tech savvy. I'll keep trying though...maybe I'll figure it out.

Those are the same questions I have wondered about for years now...interesting to find out that there are more out there.

Hi all - just happened to come across this site and decided to answer some of your questions. I worked for Wing Industries in Greenville TX in several positions including sales, marketing and purchasing. It was a great family owned company that no longer exists. Wing invented the decorative glass bifold in the early 80's. The tempered acid etched silkscreened glass was supplied by a company called Glass Unlimited in NC. The doors are made of Ponderosa pine sourced from the Pacific Northwest, although we eventually needed to start buying Radiata pine from Chile.

There were three price points of Disney doors, good-better-best that were dependent on the amount of color and etching on the glass. The doors themselves were all the same quality. The doors were sold unfinished; and the opening size widths were 24", 30" and 36", or double that if two pair used. The wood parts were assembled around the glass with the plastic film covering the glass intact to be removed with a sharp knife after the wood is stained or painted. The doors were distributed through major and minor home centers and lumberyards in the early 90's.

We also made similar doors in a "Peanuts" motif. The doors never sold to the expected level and were discontinued.
Hope this helps. Since I only signed up on this page to answer your questions, other questions may go unanswered.
