Decorations for a Bday at Dinner???

Hello All...
Heading out on the DREAM soon and I was wondering....We are going to celebrate a birthday for someone in our party each night while on the ship. Will they let me bring in table decorations? and if so, like what? Should I leave them with the server to set out each night?

I am not sure about your main question, but I wanted to make sure you knew that balloons of any kind are not allowed onboard. Also, make sure the birthdays are noted in your record - the birthday person will get a chocolate mousse dessert delivered and the servers will sing. (DD was celebrating a birthday on one sailing and she doesn't like chocolate - our server brought her a yummy vanilla and strawberry cake from another dining room instead.)

I have never seen decorations at tables.

The tables are pretty tight and you are very close to other diners. Aside from maybe wearing hats and putting say confetti on the table (not a lot) I don't know what you would do? Especially every night? The servers have a lot to juggle and coordinate as it is! Do note it in your reservation and get buttons to wear! I think decorating s table would not be a good idea, can't say I've read a specific rule about it.

ETA: whatever you do, I personally would not ask the servers for help with something like this . They are super busy as it is.

I very much doubt it would work out to have servers set them out. They have enough to do.

If it's something small like putting a hat at each person's place setting or if you had like a small 4x6 photo frame you could pop up on the side of the table with a Happy birthday message, I don't think they would mind. But I doubt you could do anything big like a table runner or decorating chair backs or anything that could detract from the theming of the restaurant or the other guests' enjoyment.

I would just do an in-room celebration if it were me and get some candles in my dessert at dinner.
