Decorations at Narcoose's?

For the Escape wedding we've been considering, we keep coming back to Narcoossee's for our post-ceremony 'reception', and I love the place but the one thing that's always bothered me about it were the bright blue tablecloths. I didn't think it was possible to have any decorations brought into the restaurant but I just saw a photo of a lovely Narcoossee's reception in another thread and was pleasantly surprised! Will the Disney team work with you to decorate a location like Narcoossee's? Even for an Escape wedding with 20 total people? We wouldn't need a LOT of decor, the only thing I'd really want changed would be the table linens, since our wedding colors will most likely be purple and silver. Would they only do this if our party were large enough to buy out the entire restaurant?

We did our escape dinner there. Since you don't work with your planner for that meal, I didn't even think about it and we weren't offered any options for decor. To be honest though, I would never have noticed if we'd had them - we were way too into the day to even notice tablecloths at that point! When you've got full tables covered in plates, you can barely see the tablecloths! I'd show you pictures, but not one of us thought to take any during dinner!

If its something you really want, you can definitely call Narcoossee's and ask them.

We had our reception at Narcoossee's and changed the table cloths, but we had a Wishes wedding. I think you'd have to talk to directly to Narcoossee's and see what they'd be willing to do. It is a really beautiful spot, though! The lighting outside on a sunny day was great for photographs.

Sorry if this is a little off subject, but is Narcoose's a sit down meal or buffet onl? I am really considering them and we are doing a plated dinner. Also, is the menu cusomtizable? We want to kinda do a custom menu which they wont allow at our first choice, the california.

I'm having my escape dinner at Bluezoo, which isn't even "official" Disney, and I was told by floral it could be decorated. So I'm sure they can accommodate whatever you want. I don't remember names or details but I'm sure I've read a TR on here from an escape bride who had some decorations put up at Narcoossees.

For Wishes weddings, the reception would have to be over before the restaurant opens (I think you have to be out of there by 3 or 4), and you're really using the GF Kitchens...not Narcoossee's, although you can request the same menu items.

We had a plated dinner for a lunch reception after our 10:00am wedding, and it was great! We had a salad, duo plate with filet and mahi mahi and the chocolate slipper dessert. Plus wedding cake of course. You can have a buffet there for wishes weddings, since it's the same as having your reception in the convention center, as far as food is concerned.

The confusion comes in when you're talking about Escape brides using Narcoossee's for a separately booked reception. In that case, they're eating during the regular dining hours off of the menu.

Thanks so much for the info! I checked out the TRs with the pics and I'm really happy that Disney is willing to work with you and allow some decorations here even for an Escape wedding party.

That helps so much. Everything I had heard was that for a wishes wedding it was buffet only. I think I am narrowing down between here and Citricos. I want a plated dinner and was hoping to pull in a lobster bisque as an appitizer. Any pics would be great. Thanks!!

Oh, you know what...now that I think of it, I was told that, too! I know they let us do plated. You'll need to ask your planner, but honestly, I think it was easier for them to do plated, because they could plate things in the kitchens. I do know that they're big on the buffets right now, in general.
