I'm planning a trip on Nov. 2-3 of this coming fall. 2012. Does anyone know if the park will still be decorated for Halloween? Or Christmas?

I can't change the dates, and we are leaving on the 4th for a cruise on the Disney Wonder!:cheer2:

My husband and I are boarding a Carnival cruise the same date as your Disney cruise and we are doing a pre Disney trip as well. I have also been wondering about decorations in the park! Maybe Day of the Dead decorations for us? :flower3:

A little of both. Christmas starts going up about the last week of October. Halloween comes down quickly but starts Halloween night.

What Ski said. You'll likely witness the transition from Halloween decorations to Christmas decorations. But the official Halloween season will likely have ended, and the official Christmas season almost certainly not have started. So you won't see any "official" events, just the changing of the decorations.

I agree; it's typically a down time with Halloween Time over but Christmas not officially started. Could have a few attractions down as well, like Space Mountain to remove the Ghost Galaxy overlay and IASM may not be open for Christmas yet.

Just to add... :goodvibes:

Here's a photo from late-October 2011.

You can see HalloweenTime pumpkins and "snow" on the castle.

Farewell Halloween, here comes Holiday Time

The Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction promises to show you what happens "when two
holidays collide," and Disneyland visitors got to see the same effect on Main Street last week
as the Resort Enhancements team started the work of replacing pumpkins and scarecrows
with garlands and snowflakes. The HalloweenTime promotion ends tonight with the last of the
Mickey's Halloween Party events, leaving a short two-week transition period before the
official start of the Christmas holiday season on November 14 [2011]. New Orleans Square is almost
completely decorated for the holidays, trees around the Resort have been strung with lights,
and most stores have at least a small selection of holiday merchandise.

Apparently the Halloween decorations are taken down fairly quickly.

Here's what Al Lutz wrote last November 1, 2011:

The day after Halloween means a mad dash for the Disneyland decorators as they tear
out all the the pumpkins and orange bunting and rush in with the Christmas garlands and wreaths.
