Decorating your stateroom??

I'm hoping to get into our stateroom while dh and ds are at the pool and add a few "special touches"! Has anyone else done this?? Would love some tips! Also, do they have the "Mickey" toiletries like the resorts do? Or should I bring some of them also? Thanks for any ideas!

yes they do have the same tolietries. if you have a verandah you could get some battery powered lights (they come in so many cute designs now) and string them around the railing, you can get cling sheet decorations and stick them to the mirrors or windows (they peel right off-no adhesive, just stick via static cling), any smalll item with suction cups also adhere to windows and mirrors.

They do give you shampoo and hand lotion...the lotion is ok..but the shampoo is HORRIBLE!! Its one of those combo shampoo and conditioners in one and they left our hair like straw! I always pack my own now!

I went to my room while my family was at the welcome aboard buffet. My friend and I had been gathering Disney things for months - even cameras with characters on them, confetti, bubbles for sailaway, etc. We made pillowcases for each child with transfers... really went crazy! The CM's were great and helped us. We even made our Palo reservations first, then joined our families- they had no idea and what a surprise when they came upon our rooms and saw the door magnets and the treats inside, they were really feeling the magic! Try dollar stores, too!

I did this for DDs 13th birthday..got streamers, garlands, etc. from the local discount party store. The door was really a work of art--attracted the attention of all the little princesses on our deck, which resulted in a lot of birthday wishes for DD. The little ones would see her at the elevator and ask if that was HER door. Remember to bring tape (good quality stuff).
