If you do not do this, no need to reply. :)

How do you decorate? I dont want to take a tree because I dont want to use the suitcase space. We thought about it and considered passing it on, but it is too much to take.

Window clings are not our thing. We are staying at AKV. We want to do something in the room. It will be just me and my wife. So if you decorate your room so it feels a bit more like Christmas, what do you do?

I plan on bringing a small, pre-lit 2' tree that will sit nicely on the table top. We're driving so suitcase space is not a problem. We'll be there through Christmas so Santa will need a place to put the presents under... well, next to. :)

we e getting in the day after, but we decided we will still put up a 2 or 3 ft tree when we arrive. I am hoping it will dornin one of our carryons.

We brought a small table top tree when we stayed at AKL last December. We found some inexpensive mini, battery operated led lights and hung on the bunk bed. Also brought a Christmas table runner and pennant banner from the dollar aisle at Target.

If you don’t want to take up luggage space, another option would be to ship ahead.

  • Holiday tablecloth.
  • Christmas paper plates and napkins.
  • Lighted garland tucked around the mirror.
  • Paper pop-up Christmas scene placed on the chest of drawers (packs flat). I have one called Santa’s Workshop and I even display it at home.
  • Flickering flame battery-powered pillar candles with holiday candle rings.
  • Holiday bed scarf for the foot of the bed. Pillow cases for your pillows
  • Holiday pillow covers for the throw pillows on the sofa.
  • Christmas throw blanket.
  • Spiced apple cider warmed in the microwave (smells so festive)
  • Christmas music on my iPod and a Bluetooth speaker.

I crafted paper stockings that resemble the Fab 5 and hung them in the window with suction cup hooks.

We hang battery operated lights in the window, again, with suction cup hooks.

We fly as well but I did pack a small table top tree. They really don’t take up that much space.

I bought a dollar store wreath and put mickey ears and lights on it.

I found a cute plastic “tablecloth” wth a Christmas scene of mickey and pals and used magnets to put it on the inside of our door.

I put Disney window clings on the corners of the mirrors.

I think that about covers it for us.

Just a word of caution about holiday decorations in DVC rooms...the official word is that nothing can be visible from the outside. The enforcement can be hit or miss. However, lights on the balcony or inside the sliding doors at AKV would be a definite no.
