Ive decided to finally "do" our kids/hallway bathroom. So I went to Target and found their not so budget friendly news line of Mickey Mouse bath collection. I bought a black MM head rug, a clear trash can with black, red and yellow MM heads on it, a shower curtain with a large classic full bodies MM on it and the MM shower rings which are the red, black and yellow heads.

So al this leads me to needing a paint scheme for the walls. I only see red, black, white, and yellow as matching and I really only see me using white out of those choices. But I don't want plan walls so has anyone seen any Mm wall decals or does anywhere sell a MM head sponge to paint on the walls?

I'm thinking white walls with red, yellow, and black head painted all around. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm pretty much drawing a blank.

Sorry to be so long winded and if this is on the wrong board.

ok, do you know anyone that does scrapbooking? next, do you know anyone that owns a cricut. it is a die cutting machine. if they have the disney cartridge they could cut you out a mickey head or almost any of the disney graphics that are on the cartridge. then you would have a stencil.

the other thing that they could do for you is cut out characters in vinyl. the vinyl you can buy at home depot, etc. if you don't know anyone start googling for cricut classes. you may be able to call the store offering this and they may be able to hook you up with the teacher (who will have the cricut).

there may be one other option and that is just checking with scrapbook stores and ask them if they have anything that you could use to cut out disney stuff. you may be surprised. good luck.

i have one but i don't think the paper would ship well.

Thank you although I don't have a cricut that is a great idea. I never even thought of scrapbooking supplies. I will definitely be checking that out.

Sorry double post but I'll take this space to say thank you to the diser below this post I'd love to see the pics.

I also have a Mickey/Disney bathroom for my kids. Do you have access or know of someone with an overhead projector, or an artist's projector? I am a teacher and secretly took my overhead projector home from my classroom. I found a Mickey face I liked online, printed it out and then copied it onto a transparency. Then I projected the image onto the wall in the bathroom, traced it in pencil and then painted it black. It was very simple, and I even added my kids' names above each sink. I'll take a picture and post it later.

So much fun!

I too am doing out upstairs bathroom disney style. I bought the vintage mickey collection that was on sale from Disney.com last year. My husband moved our upstairs bathroom so it's brand new.:) Vintage Mickey is black and white. I painted the walls a taupe color that matched the granite coutertop. The vanity is white as well as the tub and sink. I am making curtains that are sheer white and am sewing a black trim. I am hoping to find some kind of Mickey head accessory for it (ie.trim). I have the rest of the collections as well.

I didn't buy the rug that went with it, so I was so happy to see this tread. I love the rug and the soap dispenser and soap dish. I will order the rug. I already have the soap dish and dispenser but like these and might order. Thanks!

Another thing I did was buy postcard (quality ones) from the Art of DIsney store in DDD. I will frame these and put them up with pics of the castle and my kids from our 17+ visits. I am still going through pics and have to order prints.

When I finish my bathroom I will post pics. Good Luck

I have a mickey kitchen - I made a stencil using a mickey head from clipart. I have black and white mickey heads that go around my ceiling border. Very easy and inexpensive.

Check out the Dollar store for the Vinyl Stickers also Big Lots and Lowes or Home Depot!! Now, Home Depot has the Disney Paint colors with Micky Head paint chips!

I have a mickey body parts kitchen, classic mickey bedroom, and Flounder bathroom.

None of the walls are painted, but there's tons of accents to make sure it's a disney room.

Like in the bedroom, I use a plain mickey and a sorcerer mickey keychain as a pull for the ceiling fan. And we used the fun colored fan blades. Mickey comforter/bed set from Target (bought it a few years ago). Then got the mickey lamp from home depot, and a mickey door. The door wasn't hung at the current place, so it sits in the corner.

For the bathroom, I bought six sets of bright colorful towels from Target. Use a fishy shower curtain. There's little flounders on the counter. And two pictures on the wall, one from the Post Office and the other from Target.

Kitchen we use the cabinet handles. Found a soap dispenser at the Salvation army for a buck. And the Mickey cutting board, cookie jar, and collendar sit out on the counter. As well as the cooking utensiles hang off the wall on a rack.

I bought all that same stuff at Target last week! I just finished stripping the wallpaper in my boys' bathroom so I can paint it white and put it all up.

My youngest has a Mickey room. I painted one wall red and 3 walls white. On the white walls I painted black Mickey heads using 2 stencils (1 large, 1 small) I made myself. I bought a 2-pack of large stencil blanks at Hobby Lobby. Using my home printer, I made enlargements of a Mickey head paint chip from Home Depot to get the right shape and proportion of Mickey ears to head. Then I traced them onto the stencil and cut them out with an Exacto knife. I would tape up a stencil with painter's tape, then use a small foam roller to roll the black paint onto the wall. Roll in, not out. I'd leave it dry while I did the other stencil, then pull off the first one, re-position it, and start over. I shared the results in this thread, with pics:

I still think it's pretty cute!

I have just redone my kitchen with Mickey body parts and am redoing my Bedroom with Classic Mickey. The color I used to paint the walls is a very pale grey. It's in the color palate of Mickey and its a neutral without being white. It's dark enough to tell its grey but in most lighting looks white. You could easily add decals or stamps over it if you want....or you can go to home depot in the paint department and get some Mickey Head paint samples(free) and go to the $ store and get some frames. You can arrange them in a pattern and frame them as art. Maybe even have your kids do it and they could each put their name in their artwork and hang in their bathroom.

I used a Mickey head sponge (bought at DTD) to decorate my bathroom. The bathroom was one colour blue, and DD had a room a darker blue. We just mixed and matched so that both the bathroom and her room have Mickeys on the wall.

I have a 1/2 bath in my home, sort of by accident it became our Disney room- but it's VERY personalized..... We originally had white/cream walls, with a simple border along the tiles of green palms- then I started finding pictures from our many vacations I wanted to display, and started filling this tiny room..... I now have the walls filled with various family/friends at Disney photos, interspersed with a Giant Mickey/DVC picture, plus various paper memories, like the flyer from the Pirate and Princess party and little souvies from over the years (many things originally meant to be ornaments fit nicely among the pics in here, all Dis theme)
so mine came about over some time, and took no extra money -as everything I put in there I already had! it is a cute little room with a tropical/Disney theme, full of fun photos of our favorite times!
I hang a Disney theme towel in there for more fun....

I have a Mickey laundry room and we choose the classic Mickey gray color from Home Depot's Behr Disney line. I have B&W pictures from our trips and actually took photos of nice stuff (illegal??) at the home store in DTD and framed them. I have the silver mickey head knobs for the cabinets and they had a laundry line (wastebaskets and ironing board cover) a few years back online.

Here's an idea.

You could frame different quotes made by Walt Disney and frame them in Mickey Frames or in simple ones that compliment your color scheme. For instance: "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome!" That is from the opening of Disneyland, and someday I want to put it up in my Disney kitchen. I have a Cricut and want to do it in vinyl....one of these days.

Thank you to everyone for the great ideas! Since it is such a small room I especially like the postcard and framed paint chip idea. They seem less overwhelming for a small space than the one large picture thought I had. And I think one great quote over the door would be nice now I just gotta find the one I wanna do.

I had never thought of doing photographs in the bathroom. Have you ever had issues with them warping or mildewing due to the humidity? Not even sure if that'd be an issue?
