Decorating Car for Long Trip - Suggestions?

I think you need some crape paper streamers! Red, black, a little yellow and a little white! You can hang them all around your car, inside and out. You could make red and black crape paper flowers too! Think of decorating the car like a wedding type thing!

Then you need some of these products found here: follow this link! I think the steering wheel cover, the air freshener and the window shade is a must have I think! Along with an antenee topper as someone else suggested. The car seat covers and the floor mats would be cool, but probably overkill. The over the seat organizer looks cool if you don't already have a way to do that!

And if you really wanted to get creative I guess you could make a pair of giant ears for the top of your car! LOL! Now I want a pair for our next driving trip!

Yeah, that's it! Another DISer posted that she decorated her van with it...I think she said she wrote on there "We're going to WDW" and drew Mickey's. I'm definitely doing that! (Well, after I run it by dh! )

Sorry, I couldn't find the same sort of products with Winnie or the gang. I'll keep looking though and post here if I find something!

I just ran the idea of decorating our car (actually his truck) next time we take a road trip and I got told no. He said I could decorate MY car ... then pick him up at the airport.



Oh well! I have a lot of time to convince him it's a cool thing to do. We don't even have a trip planned. LOL! He did like the map idea though. LOL!

I just passed someone on I-95 Southbound on Thursday with their van decorated with the chalk. They were headed to Disney. Very cool. I have put posters on the back of my Jeep before and it was great! Lots of truckers helped us out too by blocking us when cops were up ahead.

I've written "Honk once if a cop is near" with a smiley face. Made it face the slow lane so while I was passing they may be able to read it. It was so much fun and worked better than buying a radar detector.

Being a broke college kid makes you creative. I can't wait to decorate the inside of my car now for trips...never thought of that!

What a great idea!! We just barely survived a 5 hr trip from the beach due to my 4 yo DD whining. It'll be a challenge to keep DH from leaving her roadside if I don't have some major plans to keep the ride fun.
