Decorating advice

I have open shelves in my bathroom instead of a linnen closet (there was no room for a door) so my linnens are currently in full view and I hate it. They gather dust and if I don't refold them every day, they look really messy. So a friend of mine suggested buying some baskets to put the linnens in. I thought this was a great idea until I started looking around. Baskets are REALLY expensive. I need big ones (like 24" by 19" by 8") and they are really hard to find and cost almost $100 each (I would need 5 of these plus 2 of the bigger chests they have for under the shelves). I need some advice.

Check the craft stores.... Michaels, ACMoore, etc. They are normally pretty reasonably priced and they normally have 40% off coupons.

Why not put a roman shade over the opening???

Could you hang a coordinating curtain panel or shower curtain over the opening?

I have not checked the crafts stores. I didn't know they had storage baskets. I thought they only had the "crafty" ones with the handles (for flowers and such)

I was thinking about a curtain actually before the basket idea, but my DH doesn't like the way that would look. If I can't find affordable baskets, we may go back to that idea (I need a new shower curtain anyway but I have been procrastinating because if I do go for the curtain idea, I want to buy them together matching)

i've seen those linen lined baskets at every place from wal-mart, Joanne crafts, michaels, target, tjmaxx/marshalls...to pier 1, pottery barn, crate and barrel.

I've seen them at MANY different price points..just hunt around!
