???Decorate With out WDW Florist ???

2 Years ago a friend of mine said she used Disney Florist To decorate her room. Well I am Kind of Cheap and want to decorate but I want to be practical. I just quoted a in room celebration for my kids at $329.99. This is insane. I do not have that kind of money to just waste. I was thinking about throwing some cheap stuffed mickeys on the beds and maybe get some mickey cups and bring em with me but besides that Im stumped.
Please give me some in put on what you might use to decorate your room.

I guess iam kind of confused-what kind of decorating would they do for $300?

I would go with your idea-get some stuffed animals (my Disney store has them b1g1 free right now) and get cups to use. You canalways buy a balloon or 2 in the park to have in the room, and I bet the kids would like to pick out their own.

This year, we're staying offsite in a condo with Disney themed bedrooms for the kids.

But last year we stayed offsite in a condo with no Disney decorations.
I worried (even though our OKW villa didn't really have anything "Disney" in it either) that it wouldn't feel like a Disney vacation. I brought stuff that I purchased throughout the year.

Mickey partywear....plates, table cover, cups etc.... Our condo had a dishwasher but using the disney plates made us happy.

Pics from the DISign boards-----I laminated pics of each park and a calendar of our plans and put magnets on the back so they'd stick to the fridge.
I also laminated other designs and hung them on the walls in the living room.

One of the gifts I brought for the kids was new Webkinz wearing a Disney t-shirt. These stayed on their beds.


I had this stuff (and more) in 1 suitcase. As a family of 4, we were allowed 4 suitcases, so it worked out well.

You could always check into the room before the family maybe have them swim while you get the room ready.
I have decorated for christmas stockings wreath ect.
I always do our window.
You could do table cloth, mickey bathroom stuff, something for on the entertainment center stuffed animals, goodie bags, welcome lettter ect.

While we were doing site inspections for travel agents, we passed a room that the WDW Florist had decorated. It was QUITE impressive, down to the feather stuck in the door, "footprints" and more feathers on the floor, balloons, gifts, etc. I have no idea what the package was or how much it cost but 40 agents were glued to the window snapping pictures!

If you have a local Disney store in your mall check them out. We get all kinds of goodies before our trips and make gift bags forthe kids ( they think Mickey left them). The Disney store always seems to have something on sale and it is so much cheaper than at the World. Also you might want to check out a party supply store. Ours carries Mickey Mouse themed party stuff taht would be great for decorating a room with ( and much cheaper)
