decmber trip

We are looking to go to disney either 11/27/05-12/2/05 or 12/4/05-12/9/05 and it seems that a lot of the hotels are full. We wanted a 2 bedroom at BWV or BCV and there are none. We wanted to stay at the CR and it is full. I thought this was value season and the crowds were low? What happened?

Have been going in Nov-Dec for a few years now. At first, it was uncrowded and off-season, and in Dec, all was decorated for the holidays. Recently, this great time of year secret gotout, and it seems as if everyone has started to go then. I still like it then, as the weather is more moderate and the parks look great decorated for the holidays

DVC resorts always get filled up early for this time of year. Points are low, so members like to visit and see the holiday decorations. If you want BCV or BWV at this time of year, you need to get your reservation no later than 7 months out, preferably sooner.

I know my dh is going to a huge convention nov 27-dec 1st. They have reserved 1,000 rooms between the swan and dolphin and tons of rooms are reserved at coronado springs and POR and I know there is another conference where they are still holding rooms at the contemporary for. Its going to be busy then. Also that time frame Dec. 4th there is Mousefest activities etc and the parade taping in the MK. Busy, Busy. But we will be prepared. Good luck.

The CR is available the 27, 28 and 29 (I know I checked because I wanted to stay there and I couldn't get it to come up either). But in addition to any conventions that will be there, some of the rooms are blocked off because of the renovations going on.

We did not have any problems booking our room for Dec. 8-11. I sure hope that the crowds not too big, this is our first time for December and we picked those dates instead of a longer trip during Christmas Vacation because it was "value season" and suppose to be a slower season too.

As stated this is a time that many Disney Vacation Members love to come. Great weather, and beautiful Christmas decorations attract more and more each year.

I will also be attending the AU Conference (11/27 - 12/1.) And while it may be difficult to find rooms for that week, I believe most of those conference attendees will be so busy with their classes, they won't be taking up space in the parks. If you can find a room, I wouldn't let the conference scare you off. We're going to be inhabiting the Swan and Dolphin while we're there.
