Who is in? :cool1: All of a sudden, spring is here & I have all this energy and I'm so sick of looking at my house.

Going to tackle this 15 minutes at a time, but its going to get done.

I've already done 15 minutes on a kitchen cabinet the other day.
15 minutes in the attic with DH today just getting rid of empty product boxes that we've been saving. :rotfl: Made me realize there is lots of stuff up there I've completely forgotten about that can go! Before it gets to hot to work up there though.

While hanging up laundry, and running out of hangers, I pulled out a bunch of tops I know do not fit, and I don't love them enough that I would want to wear them even if I did lose the weigh...which I am losing by the way. :)

Yesterday, we raked away winter! All the dead leaves & plants. Uncovered deck furniture & grill. Put out some decor. Earliest EVER here in New England. WOW!!!! Too early for mulch though.

I better stop jumping from spot to spot & just focus on one, but tossing stuff feels so great!!!! Trash, donate, yardsale/ebay. I help my mom each year at her yardsale, so I'll just toss in a few things of our own this time.

JOIN ME IN DECLUTTERING!!!!!
:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::thumbsup2

I spent the weekend pulling my bedroom apart. I put all the movies and books I've purchased recently into boxes to go into storage and threw out everything I haven't used in forever. Cleaned all the clothes I don't wear out and put it aside for a yard sale. I plan to be in florida this time next year and the less stuff I have to move the better. My next task is going to be organising all my school stuff. What I nedd to keep to teach with and what I don't. Yay spring!!!!

Yep, I'm right there with you! Since I didn't get to go anywhere for spring break (it didnt work out) I got lots accomplished! It was wonderful. :)

Spring is here! :teeth:

Today was supposed to be yard clean up day, but since it snowed last night that's been postponed until next week.

A big bag of books went into the car for the library sale today. And I scrubbed the tub!

I'm doing the closets little by little this week. I have spring/summer stuff out ready to be put back in the closets for the girls. Stuff they've grown out of are in another pile and ready to be rehomed.. I'm still looking for a new home for them though! If I find no takers by next week they will go to our local churches clothes closet... I also need to get rid of baby toys.. I wish I had the time/energy/room for a yard sale but I know I dont. I'm not going to attempt it. lol

I'm in!!!!
The back of my mini van is filled with stuff to take to Goodwill and I have a pile started in the garage for our town's bulk garbage pick-up. I in the process of re-doing all our closets with semi-custom shelving so I have been weeding out all the stuff that doesn't get worn/used anymore. The kids have finally outgrown a bunch of toys so I can get rid of those, our swing set is coming down- hello patio and built in fireplace :woohoo: I just ordered a new washer and dryer that I can stack so that I can have more room in my laundry room for storage. I don't think I've ever been so excited about shelving units

There is a long thread about decluttering on the Budget board.
The Other Clutter Thread

Thanks. I started from the end, and first thought it was a thread about selling all their stuff & I thought it wasn't for me, since much of my stuff won't be worth trying to sell. But I did notice that not all posts are about selling.

I started last week when we had that GORGEOUS sunny and warm weather! All of a sudden I got this energy to start raking in the back and clean up. May have somthing to do with the feeling of being couped up in the house during Winter

We had a really bad huricane-like wind storm 2 weekends ago and I had to start picking up the small branches that fell. While I was doing that, I decided to rake out the old leaves up against the sides of the property. Which look a lot better now :thumbsup2.

DS7 and I also took down his playhouse this past weekend that he's had since he was 2 (he very rarely played in it and obviously he's too old for it). Next thing is for DH and I to take down his old metal swingset that has seen better days.

I was hoping to continue with clean up today, but it's raining out, so there goes that. Hopefully it will be better weather tomorrow.

Yep, right there with you. Already donated numerous bags and quite a few boxes full of clothes and other items. In our case though it is because we plan on selling our house and moving.

we cleaned and organized the basement yesterday! It is such a good feeling to get rid of the junk and clutter. The basement is still a dirty basement but at least there isn't clutter covering every flat surface now:laughing:

The kids are off from school this week. We all spent the past hour going through clutter. I have a bag each of clothes and books to donate. The kids spent the hour working on their rooms. My twins had TWO bags of trash! :scared1: The other kids each had a bag of trash from their rooms also! We are going through clothes tomorrow and then starting on the basement. I told them we could get a ton accomplished by doing an hour a day. We will also be doing fun activities this week like going to the movies, bowling etc.

So happy to finally be in the decluttering group!!:cool1:

Today I flunked out on my own thread. The beautiful sunny week we had last week was replaced today by rain, fog & grey. :guilty: Just couldn't get motivated to do much. Headache didn't help. And even sitting at the desk trying to get some computer work done just lead to problems with everything I touched.

Hate days like this.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I have to take DH's car in for a repair & I'll be waiting, so I'm bringing laptop & maybe can get some deskwork done -- or work on a Control Journal / chore routine FlyLady style.

Hi from Paris Ontario, we would love to move next year and this cleaning and decluttering would help us out greatly. I am in it.
