KML,
I have a PassPorter's Field Guide to the
DCL.
PassPorter's
it says that cabins 2609 and 2607 sleeps 4 each. I haven't been in 2609 or 2607.
As far as spliting the bed to make 2 twins we just asked our stateroom/cabin host/hostess. They will introduce themself to you plus there is a card in your room with their name on it. The sofa makes a bed and I know you can ask for a safety rail for it so the little ones don't fall off. We did this with our youngest. The other bed is over top the sofa. It just drops down from the ceiling and it has safety rail and a ladder, like a bunk bed. The sofa and drop down is the size of a twin bed. Your host/hostess will take care of this each night and morning. The more I think about it I believe our host just brought the safety rail in himself without me asking.
I don't personal know about the cribs but I looked it up in my PassPorter's and it said "Cribs- Portable, "pack and play" cribs are available, as are safety rails- request when reserving. Highchairs are also provided in the dining areas."
As far as where they set the cribs up I don't know but if I had to guess I would think maybe in front of the sofa.
I don't know if you know or not but you can go to
www.disneycruise.com
and see deck plans. This will give you an
idea how far apart you are from the other cabins in your group and see a layout of a inside cabin. I will try to insert a lay out pic from DCL but it may not work.
Everyone will have a great time. Plus I think everyone will have enough "ME"
space. We love the 2 cabins, we will always cruise this way or until the kids are grown.
Don't forget you can put your luggage under the beds just pick it up and slide under.
