deck 1

We stayed on Deck 1 when we cruised Oct 2003. I can't remember the room number, it had 2 small port holes. Having staying in a Cat 6 on past cruises this was quite a change. All in all it wasn't that bad. Quick and easy access to get on/off the ship while at port. However it was also quite noisy in the wee morning hours on days when we would go to land - my guess is that they were moving things around to load/unload. Very noisy the last night aboard obviously getting the luggage ready for Port Canaveral.

Stayed in connecting rooms 1051 & 1053 on the 2/5 Eastern. What do you want to know? :confused3

Stayed in 1048 and loved it. It was a very convenient location for getting on and off the ship. It was like heaven when we boarded after our trip to St. John and went directly to our cool room.

We saw a lot of staff that we normally wouldn't have seen. We even saw a fire drill being run in the mid-ship stairway. (My DD wants to be a fire fighter now, she was enthralled).

We didn't have any problem with the noise. It only bothered us one day while we were in port. There was a loud banging against the hull of the ship, but I think anyone on that side of the ship would have heard it, and it wasn't really early in the morning.

It was neat to have two portholes, each kid had their own.

Have a great time.
