deck 1 questions...

We are a family of 13 travelling in Jan. We are in Cat.9 Do you all seasoned cruisers recommend that we stay on deck 1 and be pretty close together or do you think that the larger porthole and higher deck is worth us being split up? ( we would still be all on deck 2 just kind of scatterd). I really do welcome many opinions...Thanks- Tracey
P.S. We have 5 staterooms between us and none connect.

Well, I guess, does the cost of moving up deck come into this? If it doesn't, it's kinda like this for me. You won't be in your state room very much. You sleep, you shower, dress, relax. It doesn't matter that much how close you are. I'd take the larger port hole. Unless you are traveling with young toddlers who know each other, and have to go between Aunties room, Uncles room, mommies room, etc.

But you can bet that you will be resting in your state room, dressing and off to the next activity! GO MICKEY And Minnie

There would be no extra cost involved....I have been stayed on both decks and both are great....it just depends on how close together you all want to be. The larger portholes are nice....but there is nothing really wrong with the two smaller portholes...cabin size is identical. It is just a matter a personal preference. I agree with Pizziduster that if you have small ones that need to go between cabins it would be better to be near each other, but otherwise it is no big deal to be spread out.
