So I have 3 offers sitting in my cart
Offer 1
All 7 nights
Including hopper tickets
Cabins around $5500

Offer 2
Boardwalk
About $600 more

Offer3
Poly oops deluxe studio not bungalow
$1000 more than 2
Oops my mistake not a bungalow in this offer it’s a deluxe studio
Dang
We will be a party of 5 one small enough to sleep on the pull out. (Teens though)

I can’t decide. We don’t love the boardwalk pool but love the location

Never stayed in cabins but afraid it will feel a little bit of a letdown

And poly is interesting because of the bungalow. Views of MK all very nice

Help!

If you can do 7 nights in a poly bungalow for $1000 more, that's a no brainer.
Yes, that one. Hands down. No question.

Edit: Your post doesn't make any sense. Bungalows go for anywhere from $2610-$4675 per night in 2020. I just looked at the rate chart. Those prices are without 12.5% tax.

Are you saying it's 7 nights in a Bungalow including tickets for 5 people for $7100?

Yes something must be going on because I’m July the prices seem good. I’m checking on construction just in case

Not for July. I got a cheap rate quote from a points rental then went online and got it even cheaper.

Ok I did this in the middle of the night and I’m a moron. You are correct it’s deluxe studio not bungalow but froM points rental it was maybe I should go that route

So just realized the view from the bungalow is “standard” what can I be looking at? I thought they were all on the water?

They are all on the water and looking across at the Castle.

I would do Boardwalk. The transportation at the cabins doesn't appeal to me and Poly studio is not worth $1000 more than Boardwalk, IMHO.

I would not stay in a Poly studio (or any studio) with 5 people. Very little room, especially if the youngest is a teen. The cabins would give you the most room and most comfort, and they do offer the boat to MK, as well as Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary which makes for easy access to different dining options. Plus, Trail's End and HDDR right at Fort Wilderness are great options. But, I'm not fond of the idea of the internal bus system and I can't speak to how walkable the cabin locations are to the boat launch, dining, and bus stops for other parks.

I think my vote would probably be Boardwalk. We don't love the pool there either, but the location makes it worthwhile. So much you can do in walking distance too.

Boardwalk unless you don’t mind the internal transportation at cabins.

If you don’t mind that pick the cabin!! The bonfire with Chip & Dale is there and there’s more space for the family vs a regular room. We would go again except the abundant plants/trees cause my oldest’s asthma/allergies to flare badly there.

Ironically Poly was the place we all couldn’t wait to stay (we have some of the resort artwork around our house even) and it was just... eh. We would pick Boardwalk over it.

The cabins would give you more space and kitchen but you’d have to take internal transportation or rent a golf cart to get anywhere in the resort.
I love a Poly but for 5, not so sure. And 3 people would have pull out beds.
Also don’t think the $1000 extra is worth it. That’s a lot of meals you could have!
So I’d pick BWI. 2 queens + full size daybed. Great location. If YC is available for same price I’d go there.

Either boardwalk or cabins. It would depend on the teens. If they don't mind sharing a bed then Boardwalk. If they do I would go cabins.

Well now my oldest wants to join us so we are up to 6 people!!! Thinking maybe Margaritaville instead now

Our family has stayed in the cabins and we didn't think the walk to a bus stop was bad at all. Nor did we have a problem with the frequency of the buses. We loved Fort Wilderness itself and especially liked that you had a little more privacy since the cabins are separate from each other instead of someone being on the other side of your wall. Having a full-size kitchen was great. What I did not like was the bed arrangement and the fact that there's only one bathroom, and it's kind of small. There (at least used to be?) a 2nd sink in the bedroom but for my group, we'd rather have a 2nd toilet. :goodvibes

I haven't stayed in the cabins at Fort Wilderness but I've camped in my own trailer several times. Honestly I love the resort. It's extremely relaxing. Will you have a car? If so it's easiest to park up in the main parking lot when traveling to other parks, or just drive. Honestly though the internal bus never bothered us much. The buses run all the time so we never waited long. I would also request to be near a comfort station that way mutlitple people can get ready at once. The comfort stations are very clean, the nicest bathhouses of any campground I've ever been in. The best thing about the campground is the boat ride to MK. Enjoy!
