Hi all -

I am trying to plan a trip in October that would include myself, my husband, my parents, and my children. I need a room that will sleep 4 adults and 2 children. We usually stay onsite but the rates are just too high for my parents so I am looking for something a little more affordable. I have narrowed it down to 3 motels but I am open to other suggestions. The one must-have is that the motel must be within walking distance as my parents will both be using a scooter and my car cannot accomodate the scooters. Please let me know your recommendations and/or suggestions!

Best Western Park Place Inn - I love the location but read that the pool is small. A pool is a must-have for my daughter.

Castle Inn and Suites - I haven't read very good reviews but it fits all the criteria.

Camelot Inn and Suites - I read that the beds are rock hard and extremely uncomfortable.

Howard Johnson - completely booked...they only have 1 standard room available and without a suite we would need 2 rooms

I am open to other ideas if you have them. Thank you so much!!

If you have any other ideas I am open to them

Have you check into the Park Vue Inn? They have several room configurations, including suites. The pool is a little on the small side but it was nice enough. We stayed there when my dad used a scooter and having the crosswalk right there was great. The Park Vue employees were also nice about receiving and storing the scooter when it was delivered and letting us drop it off at the office for pick-up.

Peacock Suites have big rooms and are quite cheap. They have the ART shuttle system right outside the door as well which is easy to use.

It's really close too, my sister and her family stayed there and never took the shuttle. It's just right across the street (on the same side) as Candy Cane Inn.

We always stay at the anaheim desert inn and suites.
When we're looking for a suite that's reasonably priced and a close walk, this is our go-to place :thumbsup2

It's nothing fancy, but we've always found it to be clean and spacious.

ETA: I just realized you're looking for a pool. They do have one, but it's not a selling point :( It's indoor and IMO, not that pleasant. We use the hotel as a place to sleep 'n shower.

Yea the pool is a letdown. Love those BIG suites though! :cool1:
