We have narrowed it down to BCV or BWV for a week in September. We will be staying in a one-bedroom and it will be DH, myself and our 4 month old baby girl. We have stayed at both before and absolutely love the Epcot area location. We have only stayed in studios at these 2 resorts (plenty of one bedrooms at other resorts).

If we stay BWV we would be in a preferred or boardwalk view since I am pretty sure that is all that is available.

Which would you pick and why? :goodvibes

If there are in fact 1BR boardwalk views available, highly recommend you take that. Best view on site. Puts to shame any of the other preferred views (pool or garden). You can see Spaceship Earth and upper level fireworks from Epcot. You can also see in the distance the upper level MK fireworks. Moreover if there is in fact a 1BR boardwalk view open, you better act now to get it because that could easily fill very quickly.

Physically the 1 bedrooms are about the same at both resorts. You have stayed at both so which did you like better?

We stayed in a 2BR at the BWV with our not quite 5mo old in January. There is a HUGE closet in the master that was perfect for the portable crib. I haven't stayed at the BCV so I'm not sure if there is a comparable space for a crib or not. But that closet was a big plus staying with a baby at the BWV ;)

We ended up booking BCV. DH made the decision which was fine with me :thumbsup2

I have liked BCV each time we have stayed there, seems like a slightly shorter walk to Epcot which is where we spend most of our time

Good decision. I've always felt BCV was a bit more family oriented. Have fun.

We truly love both resorts, but BCV is always our first choice. Enjoy!!!:goodvibes

Scratch that, one night wasn't available so rather than have our only option be play for a waitlist we decided to book at BWV (can't remember which view, pool?) and waitlist the entire week at BCV, also threw in a waitlist for standard view at BWV just to save points

I would consider staying at the BW because you have a small child who will probaby crash in the evening and if you have a great view it makes it easier to sit on the balcony and catch the fireworks or the boardwalk entertainers while your child is sleeping. BC has really nothing special in the way of a view.

at the BWVs, you can watch the street performers, ride a surry bike, play carny games, people watch, go to ESPN, and then while your DD gets tired, your room is right there for her to sleep.
waitlist for a BW view room, and you and your DH can watch much of Illuminations and BW activity from your balcony as DD sleeps. just waking up to the sun glistening on the lake and spaceship earth:cloud9: is reason enough to WL a BW view room, which cost the same amount of points as a pool/garden or BCV room.
