We went on September 30th last fall. We really enjoyed MNSSHP. Is it worth it money-wise? Probably not, but we knew it was a once in a lifetime chance for us--we normally won't be able to be at Disney in September/October. That said, we don't regret going. We entered the park around 3:30 and had an ADR at LTT at 4:00. We did not pay for park admission to MK (or any other park) on that day so we took the rest of the day easy. The decorations were awesome and the parade and fireworks were a nice change. DH liked the fireworks the best of any fireworks show we have ever seen at WDW. The park wasn't crowded and we really enjoyed the non-existent lines for Thunder and Splash Mountain. I'm sure Oct. 31st would be a crowded day for MNSSHP--Could you go to the party on another night while you are there? In summary, we had fun and I'm glad we went, but I'm not sure we would pay to go a second time. Good luck deciding!
We were there the same time as you and were at LTT @ 4 as well. My kids (and DH and myself) wore the same outfits as your kids to 1900 Park Fair and had pics w/ your Prince Charming!
FWIW, I talked to some CMs while down there who said they love the MNSSHP much better than the
MVMCP.They like the "party" atmosphere better.
Our experience was NOTHING like what eyeore45 described (except the fireworks

). Short lines, amazing characters (dancing with Suzy and Perla, seeing the villians, and other rare ones) and I'll still catch them singing "Happy Halloween Boo to You and you..." We had lots of chocolate (m&ms, crunch, can't remember what else) in our bags and generous handfuls. They also had a huge tub/box thing as you exited. They filled you up as you left. There was a line to check in for LTT, but after getting checked in, we were seated almost immediately.
I would definitely go again if I was there in late Sept./early Oct. , esp. on a weeknight when local would be less likely to join in.
I haven't looked at prices for this year, but we ordered ours online early and I'm prett sure the ticket prices (for 9/30) were $30 something. Buying in advance will hopefully still save you some $.
