So last night I got the crew together, hooked up the laptop to the projector and dazzled/inspired them with pictures of resort choices. My wife said I have a sickness and need to get checked out.

After very little debate, it was a unanimous decision for the Boardwalk (March 2009).

My DD3 cracked me up when I put the first pictures up (Castle at night of course :cool2: ), she said; "Wow Dad, I love that! Let me give you a hug and a kiss." :lmao: Easily obliged her request :lovestruc . This will be her first trip!

So how about a few comments (any and all) from all the Boardwalk Inn veterans. Hints, room ideas, experiences....all those would be great!

I have been a guest at the BW two times now. I love it! The boardwalk itself offers so many fun entertaining things to do - candy, icecream, restaurants, etc... The resort is just a quick walk from Epcot. I am actually thinking about BW for my honeymoon Nov. 2008. Epcot is my favorite park! The service/concierge was wonderful and the resort itself is nicely decorated. The rooms were clean and the offered views feature the lagoon/boardwalk and I believe some view points of Epcot including spaceship earth.

I think your family made a good decision with BW!

Have fun

We love the BWI and that resort area. I am sure your family will have a fantastic trip. Have fun with the rest of your planning!!!

My DD had been wanting to swim in the "clown pool" and finally got the chance when we stayed there two years ago! We loved it! We actually love the Boardwalk/Epcot area!

Our room was on the 5th floor, and we could see the Eiffel Tower from our balcony - we could also see the fireworks. It was wonderful!!!

We had a great stay, and look forward to be able to stay there again! Have a great trip!!!

We loved it there! Just be aware that if you get a room overlooking the boardwalk it can be a little noisy at night. It didn't bother us too much though.

We're you able to see spaceship earth at all from your view? I started another thread that features the view from 4211, which was concierge. Are all the views of the water, eiffel tower, possibly SE, concierge? We can't afford concierge!

I'll have to recheck my pictures. Not sure if we could see Spaceship Earth or not. We didn't stay concierge level. Our room also overlooked a little courtyard area - and you could see a few of the cottages. Very nice and quiet!

Is there anyway you could post some of your view pictures here?? If not, no biggy. That would be a lot of help though...Thanks!

You have made a great choice! You will not be disappointed. :thumbsup2 This is our favorite resort. As already stated, the Boardwalk view is great if you choose. The entertainment on the Boardwalk at night is so fun-you will have a great time--enjoy!:goodvibes I can't wait-almost below 100 days now!:cool1:

:lovestruc You will not be disappointed with your choice. This is our favorite resort. There is so much to see and do within the Epcot Resort area. We just came back in January from the BWI and are heading back there again on May 19th.:thumbsup2

If it is important to your group, you may want to ask for a room near an elevator, after a full day at the parks, those loooong corridors can seem endless for the footsore or challenged.

Not too near an elevator, mind you, that can get noisy, also.

The Boardwalk area is exciting & has a little bit of everything for all age groups, you'll have a ball! :goodvibes

As you can tell by my siggie....I'm a little partial to the Boardwalk:goodvibes
You can easily walk or take a boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can also walk through Epcot and take the monorail to Magic Kingdom. We end almost every night at Epcot....either strolling through and soaking up the atmosphere and/or picking up a bedtime snack. I think you did a great job Dad!:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the info :goodvibes

TLS1981 - your trip is sooooo close, ENJOY!

Any other tips from anyone.....rooms, special things to see at this resort??

We have stayed at the Swan twice and we do love that area.....I personally prefer staying by this body of water. Everything seems so much more convenient.

I don't think you guys will be disappointed in your choice.:goodvibes
