Heading to Disney for a convention in Oct. I am planning to head down early with the wife then have my kids come down mid-week (it's a secret trip). Got three kids and trying to stuff them into the moderate resort seems stupid. Have a rate of $270 for the deluxes so considering a split stay?

is trying to put 5 into a room at CBR just nuts?

Depending on your kids' ages you may not be able to as the max occupancy is 4. That aside, it is a tight squeeze. We did it in January as my youngest was 2 so we were able to use this room size. The beds are only doubles so the 2 year old and our 4 year old shared the bed and our oldest slept on the floor on an air mattress we bought.

We are doing our first split stay this year and its been so annoying with the different confirmation numbers and such. I find it annoying to move around in general. However, that's a fantastic rate and I would totally jump on it!

So called the convention Disney number - and the deluxes are a no go. Current thinking is this - switch over to POR - it will fit five and the company will pay for the room (saving them on a flight and a rental car plus staying at CBR versus the WL for the stay).

I think you found your answer! :thumbsup2 POR is a beautiful resort and I don't think you'll regret the choice one bit!
