I am trying to decide which resort to rent from. I really see benefits of each one...anyone have an opinion on which is preferred and why? Any negatives I may not know about? Thanks!!!:)

Ginn strikes me as crazy expensive, and not a good value when you consider what you can get for much less money around WDW.

Driving from WH to WDW is easier in my opinion because you don't have to get onto I-4 in the crazy standstill hour long traffic that comes from the Ginn exit to disney. There is alot to eat close to WH - not so many choices near Ginn although they just built a pizza place close by.

Ginn looks beautiful and I drive past it whenevr I go to my mom's house, but I rented at WH during the summer for the transportation and food isues.

They're both gorgeous resorts. Ginn is a lot more expensive. For the price you get to play golf on their 3 championship courses though, so if you're a golfer, you might want to stay there, you can only play their courses if you stay there. That being said, with the $$ you save at WHR, Mystic Dunes (#2 course in Orlando) is right next door, that would pay for a lot of tee times! There's so many championship courses close by, including 4 at Disney, Falcon's Fire, Champion's Gate, that it would be hard to justify paying all that extra just for golf unless you're truly a golf nut. Ginn does have restaurants on the resort though, and a lazy river, it's also marginally further away. Oh, also, although they have townhomes and pool homes, they still provide daily maid service. Personally, we don't think we really need this in a vacation home rental, and would rather not have maids in our "space" every day while we're out actually. Some people really like this though, of course, you pay for the service as part of the higher rates!

By the way, you can drive up Old Lake Wilson Road to get to WDW from Ginn, so you don't have to get on I-4 like the other poster mentioned, there's a way around all that traffic.

There's a few people from here like UKDEB (one of our great moderators!) that have stayed there and can chime in, ask for her input / advice also! :)
