deciding btwn port or. fq & port or. riverside

we have stayed at po riverside 2 x before and were wondering if anyone had any imput between the 2 resorts, which would you choose and why? we have an 8 yr old boy. we are currently booked with f.q. cause r.s. was booked but they suggested to keep calling as there are frequent cancellations and i am wondering if it is worth my trouble... i GREATLY appreciate your advice ( i am pathetic when it comes to decision making)

Welcome! Both resorts are beautiful. Since you have already stayed at POR I'd stick with your FQ ressies. Since they're sister resorts and its easy enough to use the facilities of both keep the current plan. Enjoy your stay.

They are both great, but if you've never stayed at FQ before, I think you will enjoy it. The first few times we stayed at POR (then it was Dixie Landings), we thought we probably wouldn't care for FQ, but since we tried it, it has become one of our favorite places.
