A question of perspective :

Obama/Biden v.s. McCain/Palin, what if things were switched around?..... think about it. Would the country's collective point of view be different? Could racism be the culprit?
Ponder the following:
· What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, including a three-month-old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter?
· What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
· What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?
· What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?
· What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?
· What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while he was still married?
· What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to painkillers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
· What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?
· What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five? (The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.)
· What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?
· What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?
· What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashi ng seven planes?
· What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many occasions, a serious anger management problem?
· What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution?
· What if the Obamas had adopted a white child?
· You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.

I think you ARE saying that. A lot of people are saying that. And if Obama becomes my President, he will have the respect I've always given to the office. But I will never, ever forget that he and his supporters have divisively played the race card over and over again.

It's a Presidential election, not a contest based on who went to the most prestigeous schools.

Not one word in your post about policy positions, which is what people should, and usually do, base their vote on.

Obama has steadfastly refused to release his undergraduate records, including any writings that he may have done at the time.

Palin went to multiple schools and graduated from a "less than prestigious" (insert look down the nose) state University.

McCain graduated from the United States Naval Academy. IMO, I don't think Biden and Obama would have made it though basic training.

Yes -- let's talk about Keating. McCain was cleared of any wrongdoing by the Democrat special investigator. Of the 4 Dem senators and the one Repub Senator investigated, mcCain was the only one to stand up and testify against Keting. McCain's testimony put Keating in JAIL. The 4 Dems never showed up to do what was right.

McCain "crashed" four planes. Where do you get 7?
One in low-altitude touch& goes during flight training
One when he experienced engine failure. He tried to glide the airplane to a local race track, but had to bail out.
One "crash" was while waiting in line to launch from the carrier, the USS Forrestal, his plane was struck, while on the deck and it exploded in a fireball. He managed to get out of the cockpit and leap down through the burning jet fuel. He was burned and injured, decorated and offered a transfer back to the states. He refused and requested a combat assignment in the theater and was re-assigned to another carrier.
His final "crash was when on a bombing run over Hanoi, his plane was hit by an surface-to-air missile. He ejected and was badly injured. Captured by the North Vietnamese, he paid for his "poor piloting skills" by being tortured, starved and imprisoned for 5 years in the luxurious Hanoi Hilton.

Here's my point--- you play the race card like you're beating a bass drum at a homecoming game. The reason Obama has spent $600 million and still isn't a runaway in this race isn't because he's black or McCain's white. It's because he's a far-left ideologue that is running on a platform of raising taxes and increasing socialistic welfare payments in the form of EIC. He's barely ahead despite the MSM being completely in bed with him for 2 years because he is a radical with radical friends and associates that are corrupt, racist, anti-American and socialist. He isn't ahead by 15 points because Americans don't trust people who say one thing in front of one crowd and then say the opposite when in front of another.
