I still need to do my ts res for the first night we are there. We want to save MK for rope drop the next morning to really captivate our children for the first time. So that leaves Epcot. What restaurants are close to the Epcot entrance from Boardwalk so that if we have cranky kids we can get back fast? I suppose qs would work also near that location....

Inside Epcot or outside Epcot? If you don't want to enter Epcot try the Cape May buffet. If you do want to enter Epcot, the closest restaurants to the International Gateway would be Rose & Crown (closest by far), Le Cellier, Chefs de France and maybe a bit of a stretch to the Japan restaurants.

I haven't tried it yet, but Cat Cora's restaurant (that replaced Spoodles) is on the Boardwalk...

ESPN Club, Big River Pub, would be my 2 choices, they are both on the Boardwalk itself...ESPN is about as close as you can get to the Epcot entrance.

i would have to agree with the espn club would be a good choice. its nothing fancy but plenty of tvs and pub style food

We're staying at BWV with our little ones (ages 3 and 5 when we go in July) and we scheduled dinners at Cape May Cafe (Beach Club) and Captain's Grille (Yacht Club). If you don't want to be tied down to ADRs, you can go to Big River or ESPN on the Boardwalk (both TS). Kouzzina is also on the Boardwalk and it is TS. CS options are really limited in the Boardwalk area. If you really want Epcot restaurants, Rose & Crown is very close. There is also a CS in the UK, but I think it only serves fish & chips and I know there is no kids' menu.

If you are going into Epcot, then Le Cellier is the best TS restaurant closest to that entrance. If you do not want to go in to Epcot, then you have your choice of the Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Swan/ Dolphin resorts. You could go over to Beaches and Cream at Beach Club, get a hamburger, and that ice cream desert - what is it - the kitchen sink?

We're staying at BCV in May and plan on hitting the boardwalk our first night and eating at Big River Grille. It's a brewery which I thought would be fun since I think we will need a beer after traveling with 2 young kids! I haven't eaten there yet, but it looks fine to us, we're not too picky! There's also ESPN club, Beaches & Cream at Beach Club, both of which also don't take ADRs.

Hey MOMSOFAMANDEADEN....

I can't believe I'm recommending Cape May Buffet Dinner...since I am usually telling folks to avoid this place....

However in your case ...I do recommend it..

I've eaten dinner there 3 times...because we were staying at BC...and it was convenient.

I do NOT consider it a Destination Restaurant.. but since it is
1) Close to your resort
2) a Buffet...and therefore 'little' or no wait for possibly cranky kids
3) BUffet with plenty to offer little ones...kids buffet and great dessert buffet

Then I recommend it. GET RESERVATIONS!

If you don't want to 'burn' a TS on Cape May..then there are plenty of CS options at the Boardwalk... I've done CS for lunch at Boardwalk...so you may need to do a bit of menu research...

PP's I...too...am hoping to try Kouzzina's ...Cat Cora's new restaurant in the place of Spoodles...but I wonder if their offerings would include something for 'little ones'....as OP has to consider...

Have a magical visit!

Mary

I love Cat Cora but her restaurant that I tried previously did not impress me. I would prefer Epcot but could not get into Le Cellier until a late lunch that my TA res'd for me today for our last day there. I like the idea of the Brewery. Is that on the dining plan?

Trust me that is why we are staying club level so that I can have a beer in the afternoon after dealing with a 5, 2 and 9 month old at the parks.
