Decent hotel near the space center

We want to spend our first night near the space center, watch the launch and then head to disney. What hotel is recommended that is clean and decent and closest to the space center? I haven't been there since I was about 9 years old so I need help.

see if you can get a night at Ron Jon Cape Caribe. It is a timeshare but it's awesome! We are going in August

If you are willing to do the Bed and Breakfast route, my dad and I just got back from a 4 night trip to the Space Coast. We had a wonderful time at the Casa Coquina, a cooky bed and breakfast located in Titusville. It was sooo easy to travel to the space center (we went for two days) from here, the people were really nice, breakfast is included, and the room was the best part. It was a huge suite that felt so inviting and homey (albiet a cleaner home than mine) that we looked forward to returning to each night. We literally just got back (plane landed at 5 today), so if you have any questions, let me know.

I just want something decent and clean and close to the space center. I don't know the area well at all.

We like the Residence Inn or the Country Inns & Suites. They are located next to each other and are near the cruise port. Both are clean and comfortable. The Residence Inn is the better of the two and it tends to be less available. It is about a 10 minute drive from there to the Space Center.
