Decent Hotel for $40

Im looking for a hotel for only one night in September. We are actually flying in early staying at one of the Universal hotels but want to save money for one night before we go to Disney. Can anyone suggest a hotel around the Universal Studios area that is incredibly cheap but NOT in a back alley?

We have stayed at Seralago Hotel and Suites in the Kissimmee area for the last 3yrs. for the night before we check into our Disney hotel and staying again there 1 night this year. It is really cheap. Nothing fancy but really good for the price.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place, which is right across the street from Universal, so its in a good area. There was a Days Inn there too. Don't know anything about this hotel, but its cheap.

You could stay at the Hyatt Place near universal for $89 dollars a night, which is also in a pretty good area. Type in COSTCO in special offers area to get a discount, also florida residents recieve 10% off. The Hyatt Place has always been really nice for my family.

If you get yourself a 2.5-3 star hotel with Hotwire or Priceline name your own price you're gonna get a hotel that would probably go for $80-$160 for $40 something.Look for a hotel in the International Drive south/Sea World/Convention center area which is a good area about 10 minutes from Universal.

I second this! We stayed here last year for a week and loved it!
