Decent Car Rental option when using Magic Express

We like Magic Express but also like having a car to make a grocery run and a few trips out or drive to dinner the other Disney resorts.

Even Alamo at Disney and Dolphin was giving me a price I did not like.

We found that a decent AAA rate at the Hertz on US192 near Maingate.. and it says on their web site that you can call to be picked up within 15 minutes of location.

We got a midsize for $134 per week, with taxes and fees $161. A very good rate. We made the reservation through the AAA web site.

We have been averaging about $130 for a Compact (caliber nice &roomy) from Dollar (MCOS01) at their DTD location using the KISS2 or OCVB codes.

We also like to take ME then get a car later in the day around RoomReady Time then a grocery run for the day. This cuts a day off the rental as we get in early and out late at the Airport. Plus you can get a smaller car as you only need it for trans and runs and not baggage.

What codes are you using? I just booked a GMC Acadia ("or similar) for $240 including taxes for 7 days.....

Alamo offering $365 for a week for in Intermediate for my time period, and maybe $25 off. $240 is better (I don't know what kind of car that is) but no bargain!
