Being from IN we felt it was warm enough to swim on our December trips. In the evenings you may need a sweatshirt but the days were warm enough. One night it was actually colder at MK while we were watching the fireworks than it was here in northern Indiana.
We went this Dec, for 10 days, and made it in a pool once.
There were some pretty cold days, but even then when the life guards were wearing sweats, a few people were in the pools. This was the same day that at night we were wearing winter coats & mittens, LOL!

We were there from the 20th-29th. We arrived at the end of a cold front and it was that first night we were bundled up waiting for Spectro & Wishes....and we were still cold! Most mornings & nights were cool or cold, but the days warmed up nicely. We wore shorts most, but not all days...even if we started out in winter jackets over the shorts, LOL!
Like I said we made it in the pool once, and probably would have gone in a couple more times, had our schedule allowed.
You really need to pack for all seasons and dress in layers. Its a pain, but youll be glad you did.
And on the bright side, we didnt have 1 drop of rain that whole time so it wasnt all bad. I would go back again.
