DAY 7 (12/7 Fri)
Took the bus to the MK. Breakfast at Cindy’s & seated at exact PS time! 1st we saw Alice who asked DD her name & she said Snow White. (That was her character at Halloween & favorite princess movie & NO we didn’t prompt her to do this. She often refuses to answer to her name at home & insists SHE IS SNOW WHITE!) Alice first yelled across the castle at Snow White & then ran over to her (Alice fashion) to tattle! When Mary Poppins showed up next, the dialogue was repeated & Mary proceeded to call for SW who had just caught up to our table. Had a great response & SW threatened to sign DDs book “FROM DDs real name TO Snow White”, so cute! She actually signed it 'From Snow White to Snow White'! I was going to thank the manager on the way out but she made a point of coming to our table & asked if we had a better experience than night before. We thanked her for stopping & the GREAT time we had. WITHOUT prompting, she gave us 2 FOL passes (1 for me to Space Mountain & 1 for DD & DW for Buzz’s ride) what a great perk! We stood in line downstairs to see Cindy & Fairy Godmother & it was well worth it! They also enjoyed meeting our Snow White & FGM thought she looked like Baby Boo with blond hair (DD had 2 pigtails that day)! Lunch at the Plaza. We then saw Lion King show. Then on the way out we met several characters between Liberty Square & hub: Robin Hood, Cindy’s mice, Captain Hook, Smee & Meeko. Oh yah, DD LTC!!! We rode Magic Carpets & POTC (DD & I were working on learning the YO HO song). DW & DD went back to CBR for R&R. DW & DD were going swimming & the following is in DWs own words. “We got ready & DD & I set out with towels, DD in stroller, life jacket & what I thought was the room keycard. We had a great time at the pool & when we were thoroughly waterlogged, headed back to the room. Now it was quite a site I’m sure but thankfully not many guests around. Back at the room, I fumble for the keycard & pull out the Disney Club card instead! This is a great card but it WILL NOT open your room. Now here is this plump woman in a floppy hat with a bright yellow towel wrapped around her pushing a buggy with DD & her blow-up ladybug ring around her neck & all the junk trailing behind running around the verandas searching for a Mousekeeper. Thankfully there was a caravan of them nearby & they promptly came to my rescue.” I resort hopped to ASMov & was not impressed. As I stated on day 1, we’ve stayed at moderate resorts twice now & despite our complaints of long walks we are definitely spoiled! All Stars seemed cramped & barracks like. It had fewer pools & even though I liked the dedicated/no brainer bus stops (no straining to see destination of bus) I would anticipate long lines waiting to get on. I know, what a critic! I then went to the MK to catch the Monorail to the TTC. As I got off the MK bus I met a couple asking the driver for directions to the Poly for a Luau PS. He just said Monorail & half-heartedly pointed. I have been in their shoes years before so I offered my humble tour guide abilities & walked them to the Monorail & assured them I was going that way anyway & they had plenty of time to make their PS. We had to wait on the platform & so engaged 2 CMs in some WDW trivia. I had tried to get MR front seat on day 6 but didn’t know the procedure, as I stepped into a car & then back out to ask if I could ride up front. I was told rather rudely NO you have to ask while on the platform. I didn’t argue the fine line situation, but learned from my mistakes! I asked if the 3 of us could ride up front & again another 1st for me, we WERE allowed to. This was another great thrill for me! I just wished my family could have been with me. I thanked the Pilot for the honor & experience & bid ado to the Luau goers & hopped off at the TTC. I made a rubbing of the brick we placed in 97 at the Poly walkway near the TTC (this was in memory of my DMIL who was a big Mickey fan long before us. She never stayed on property but would have loved this location being near the MK & Poly!) Then took the bus to MGM to see the Osborne Family Lights. Quite spectacular & got a kick out of the angels (especially everybody looking silly in 3D glasses). When I got back to CBR I ate at food court & got sick.

DAY 8 (12/8 Sat)
Hoped to do a partial day at the parks, (that’s how I helped justify our APs) but I was still sick in the morning, so we sat around & watched TV. Thanks to the food court for a touch of food poisoning. One of my DDs favorite things to do this trip is to sit in our room & watch Disney on the TV. Kind of like getting a big expensive present for her & she then prefers to play with the box it came in. This is one of the many joys of parenting! If you didn’t notice from our experience at the airport on day 1, my DW likes to waste time by being early to avoid “problems”. I like to waste time over-planning so I don’t have to be so early! As a result Bell Services was late in picking us up (upsetting my DW) then Mears was late & the driver rude. He expected us to put our luggage directly in front of the luggage doors of the bus. I have never had this happen with Mears as the drivers always took care of our luggage from wherever Bell Services dropped it at the bus pick up area. I normally tip well for this service but not this time. I will never use Mears again. I understand that for not much more money we can have much better personal service from other providers.
