December No Buy: To help us survive the holidays

Trying to get my no-buys in early; going to the gym instead of shopping...

1/10 No-buy days

12/1-$0; 6 miles!
12/2-$1 library; $6 Cookie Co.; 2 miles

Charming23, thanks for starting this! MickeyMomof3, welcome back -- I hope you had a great time! QVCshopper -- 6 miles?!? :worship: I consider exercise to be walking down the driveway!

Here we go! My goals are going to be 8 no buy days and not more than 5 dinners out.

I'm not counting Christmas gifts in here as it only encourages me to procrastinate on buying them, and that's sure not going to work!

Well, the flat tire we thought was repaired wen flat again, so I was stuck in yesterday. It wasn't so bad, I got a good amount done, DH took DD11 to her orthodontist appointment and dance, so I couldn't spend if I wanted to, which I did, we need groceries, but I filled the freezer before we left so we had chili last night and I had bought staples on our way home so I was able to make cornbread. I was supposed to volunteer at the school, but that didn't happen cause DH had a hard enough time taking off for an appointment but I didn't even ask him to for me to volunteer. He thinks it is fixed enough till we can get a new tire on it so I can do some running aroudn today, but between havingto plan a Brownie meeting for tonight, an appointment for DD16, dance and brownies tonight, there might mot be time yet for groceries, so another frozen dinner may have to happen again. At least they are there!

So, December starts with a $0 day.

December 1- $0

No spend days 1/15 I don't expect to make 15 but I sill be happy with as many as I can this month.

Hi everyone:), jumping on board, even though Dec. is a tough month to budget. I'm hoping to finish up all Christmas shopping this weekend with my mom, so hopefully, aside from baking supplies there won't be too many extra expenses (and it's a good thing I live 30 miles from Starbucks, because the holiday peppermint mocha & caramel brulee are:love:!, I WILL need one to get through the mall this weekend, though;)!)

Setting a goal of 10 no buy days.

Dec. 1- face cleanser & lotion

Dec. 2 - tea w/ a friend, groceries, mailed a package

Dec. 3 -

No buy means nothing, even gas, or is it ok to spend what is budgeted? Think it is ok if I participate but don't get into the reporting my budget? My husband now does that and I'm grateful. If I could just spend nothing on 10 days I'll be good. Surely Christmas Day will make my nine additional days doable. I didn't spend anything yesterday, so that brings me down to 8 more needed. I'm already winning at this
