December DVC/OKW meeting

We will be at OKW the first week in December. Would it be worthwhile to attend this annual meeting? Where do they usually hold it and do you have to reserve seating? Any info would be appreciated.

They usually hold the meeting over in a ballroom at the BWI. They do ask for RSVP's closer to the date. You should receive a notice with your estimated budget sometime in November. I haven't attended but it seems like it would be interesting.

The past couple of years, the OKW meeting was in late November, but members may attend any of the meetings without regard to ownership.

We went to the BWV (even though we don't own there) meeting 2 years ago and enjoyed the experience. The meetings are not well attended by members, but are very informative. There is a "business" meeting- which is scripted and very quick, with no opportunity for member input- and a public meeting where members are encouraged to ask questions. The board members are very good about responding to questions and are available for a short while afterwards. If you go to the BWV meeting, there will be no OKW information provided (and vice versa)

You can register at the door, but advance registration is welcomed. I'd encourage everyone to attend if possible.

I have attended several OKW annual meetings & feel it has been a good use of my time. We were told one year that the OKW annual meeting is held the Thursday following Thanksgiving. These meetings give members an opportunity to know what is going on both with DVC & with WDW in general. It is also a good chance to meet many of t he CMs who work hard for us. For many years the OKW meeting has been held at the Boardwalk Conference Center. We will be notified of the exact location a few weeks before the meeting.
