Just a handful of new products this month:

Winter Page Patterns- 20 pages chock full of great ideas! $5.50

Seasons & Celebrations Stickers (available in English and Spanish)- 16 studio stickers strips that comes packed with phrases and words that you can build page layouts around. Each strip includes a bold funfilled anchor sticker of a familiar word or phrase (like the word Summer or Celebrate), plus an assortment of colorful sprinkle stickers (I personally love the sprinkle stickers--there were flowers, fruit, hearts, snowflakes---lots and lots!). $5.50

A new Limited Edition album- I think it was called Sweethearts (sorry, read through the article super fast this AM) and it's a 7x7 album with a gorgeous garnet colored cover and it has a silver foil heart design. It comes with 12 sheets/24 pages of white pages. $23.00 Consultants are limited to ordering 1 in December, but then can order as many as they want in January-June.

I did & was in the 2nd wave. I voted for this color & foil design. Glad to hear "my" idea was picked.

Planning on attending Showcase 2004!

I didn't attend showcase; I only became a CMC in late July, so I'm new at all of this....I am signed up to go to the Regional Convention in Portland in early Feb and can't wait to see all the new stuff!

Patty-

I hear ya- I bought CM full price for a year or two; I had several heart to hearts with my friend who was also my consultant, because I was interested in becoming a CMC, but only to support my habit. She was very honest with me with what exactly I had to do to maintain status as a CM rep, and I was shocked at how little it is, especially since I have several friends who love CM and I asked them if they would agree to buy so much from me every three months...(the deal is you pay $195 for your starter kit, which includes $300+ worth of stuff, and then within 30 days you place a $500 retail ($350 our price) order; then after that you are only committed to $500 retail every three months (the $500 does have to be in one calendar month- I just placed 2 orders in Nov that equaled $500 and now I don't have to buy until Feb). I am not interested in making this some business where I have a zillion people under me and I hand out business cards to every person I come in contact with. I have had several parties and crops, but that is because people are asking me to do it---I swear this stuff sells itself. But no one at CM would frown upon you if all you want to do is support your hobby and not make it a business.

best of all.........EVERYTHING that has to do with scrapping is now a tax write off for me...film, developing costs, products, paper, printer ink, a portion of my AOL bill, my office that our computer and my scrap table is in, the digital camera I am planning on buying, mileage to parties, the treats I buy for crop nights....it's great. We shall see how great at tax time. ;)

I hadn't thought of the Tax thing!
I may have to sign on after Jan1
We have enough right offs this year - Dh is self emplyed and we bought a new tractor and dump truck - and we will be closing on our land in December!

But to write off all this stuff! WOW

Thanks for pointing that out!

If I do decide to do it do you want me to sign under you?
It won't be a lot of risidual sales - as I will just do it long enough to build a stash!

Patti-

I know- the tax thing was the total kicker for me-- it was like the light bulb went off and now I feel like I'm not "wasting" money on the TONS of scrapbook stuff I buy. (I know I'm not wasting it, but you know what I mean---if you go overboard one month you can say "oh well, it's a tax write off").

And sure, you can certainly sign under me if you like! I can send you the paperwork whenever you are ready. I thought the same thing about building a stash, but with the way they come out with new stuff all of the time..........ugh...............as long as my friends keep buying, I doubt I will ever stop.....there is a HUGE release of products after Regional Conventions, which is in Feb...so in March they will release about 15-20 new things. Like this year they released the circle maker, Disney snap pack, short cut packs, etc. :Pinkbounc

A large # of products are shown at each wave of showcase.
Each consultant comes home with a goodie bag of new products which means I could order the products before the rest of the consultants because I attended the annual convention.

You also get the opportunity to buy cm designed items which you can use as coordinator gifts.

I really enjoy being a consultant at this point. I am doing it more as a hobby right now ... making my minimum order every 3 months. I had a croptoberfest and had a good time!

If you sign up to be a consultant, make sure you do the 30-60-90 day success plan. When you complete the success plan you will receive a nice rebate along with neat organizational products.

I've been working on getting my office reorganized after it was moved upstairs. I am SO excited as my open house is the 2nd week of Dec.

Judy

Yes, the 30-60-90 plan is a good one; I did it and you come away with awesome stuff at each stage of the plan. You get things such as an album tote, an organizational soft file cabinet to keep your paperwork straight, a 7x7 album, extra paperwork stuff like order forms and strips and triangles for your home classes, and my favorite was the accessory binder with tons of the plastic pages to organize all of your stickers and die cuts. If you completed all 3 stages, you got the Memory Mate rolling cart for free, and if you do your increments of the plan a certain way, you get $250 back from Creative Memories.

That is KEWL!
I might be planning a fund raiser for my cousin -
her sons parochial school field trip -
Maybe I will sign on before then - instead of calling in a different consultant ! :)

Patty-

Seriously, you might really want to consider signing up before you do the fundraiser; even if you donate all of your profits to the fundraiser (your profit is 30%), think of all of the contacts you would make in the process, and the potential customer base you would be building....plus it would make the 30-60-90 day plan that much easier! I will send you a PM with my email address and a few more details to read at your convenience. And if/when you are interested, you can email me and we can get the ball rolling. :D
