Would anyone care to share the AP rates they received this Past December?? Interested in any resort. LOL Trying to do a preliminary budget.

Wow, that's some great prices. We're hoping to get similar rates for our trip this upcoming December. It will be our first try at using a discount code.

We use FL resident rates, which are usually same as AP rates. For Dec., we had garden view room at the Poly for $233 with tax, $209 without tax.

During the first week of December moderates were 79/night and values were 49/night.

We did value last year. Hoping for October and December discounts this year too!

WL $137 a night, we had to "split" our reservation because the AP rate was not available for the first night (Sat Dec 4th) this was for a courtyard view.

OK, this pertains to my question, hopefully someone can help out with an answer. We're going to purchase AP's and book a trip that starts Thanksgiving day and ends on December 4th. If AP discounts are released and I want to apply it to my ressie, how will it work, as there may not be a discount for the first two or three nights of our ressie? What means "split"?

You would have to book 2 reservations, one at regular rate for first nights and then another one for the nights the discount is available (if it is). It would require 2 deposits. You would have to have both reservations noted. There is a slight chance you would have to move in between.

Thanks for the explanation. I wonder why it is that you can't just book the ressie and be charged the different rates. When my hubby travels for work, I book his hotels and the websites usually say "rate change for this day" and you pay the difference in rates but it's all in one ressie. How much easier would that be? Muchly.
