Nothing yet for us! :sad1:

Call DCL reservations and get your tracking number - this way you will at least know if they sent them and possibly when they will arrive!

We still received nothing!

Good idea! I'll have DH call DCL tomorrow! I'll keep you updated!

You all have been busy on this board; thanks for all your work--it is so appreciated!! :yay:  :yay:

We fly down in a week to spend a few days at Disney World before the cruise. We are flying on Southwest, but we didn't get as good of deals as Hanover and Sandra04--holy smokes, we spent WAY too much for our tickets!

Our cabin is 7060, but we are going to see if we can switch to a starboard side. It sounds like it is fun to see the docking and send off.

Thanks again for your work, and we'll be looking for blue shirts!

Dan, Mary Beth, DD8, and DD6

I still haven't received my docs yet!
My agent will check tomorrow for me but I just wish they'd get here already!

Packing has begun...it's gonna be hard keeping these suitcases at 50 lbs.!
How many bags is TOO many? :bitelip:

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving!

We are members of overpackers annonymous, so I can't help you with you many suitcases are too many. In May for our 7 day and 3 park days before/1 after, we had 11 bags. We each had a large rolling duffel bag (4), a formal bag, a pirate costume /snorkel equipment bag, a bag for before the cruise, a bag for after the cruise, a backpack and our camera/laptop bags. We are really trying to cut this trip down to 2 duffel bags, a formal bag and camera/laptop bags. The 11-15 day forecast on Accuweather looks like we'll be having nice weather (of course it can change between now and then) so we won't have to pack too many heavy sweatshirts. We still haven't gone through our stuff to decide what we'll be wearing at dinner. Hopefully the shuttle will be taking off with the nice weather.

I hope the rest of our group willl be getting their documents tomorrow.

It's great to see everyone's ticker counter down to single digits!!!

We are also members of overpackers anonymous! This time DH told me not to pack so many shirts - we always buy them while we're there anyway amd this time we can wear them right away (I've suggested this before as I saw it as a tip somewhere and was ignored!). Anyway, I got most of our stuff together yesterday but didn't pack any of it, I will be doing that this afternoon after we get home from Christmas tree shopping.

I've pretty much got it narrowed down to one large suitcase (not full) with of our cruise stuff (including pirate wear for DS and dressy wear for last night), one small suitcase for our first day and night in FL, one small suitcase packed in a larger suitcase with the balance of DH's camera stuff that he isn't taking in his carryon, and one larger suitcase with the rest of our stuff. I'm hoping that is enough suitcases but I have a feeling that I might need one more. We have a terrible habit of practically buying WDW out while we are there! I have to remember that I can have them ship stuff home.

I plan on getting us matching shirts while we are there to wear the first day on board ship - I thought it would look nice for the coming aboard pic and make it easier to remember what one of us is wearing in case we should get separated.

I picked up a handscale so that I can make sure all the bags are under 50lbs and I also got the new TSA locks so we lock our luggage up.

Anyway - only 5 more days for us - DS keeps asking me what are we doing x weeks from today - this started 4 months ago when we booked the trip! Now we are down to ONE week - I can't believe it is finally here!

Hopefully I'll get to meet everybody once on board or at WDW - even for just a minute or two - so I can put names to faces.

We just put up our Disney Christmas village on our fireplace mantle and listened to one of our Disney cd's. We are really in the mood for WDW!

That is wonderful you have only 5 more days!! We leave a week from tomorrow evening. I guess we better start at least thinking about what we will be packing. We usually pack the night before or day that we are leaving. We always end up buying too much stuff ourselves. We try and take the boy's Mickey ears along each time and their light up spinning toys. You can only have so many and we must have at least 8 different kind of Mickey ears for both of them. I'm sure they'll be scouting for some YOMD ones. They also love buying and wearing Disney shirts while they are there too. I'm just glad to see it warming up again. WDW is great any time of year, but it's better when you aren't shivering or sweating!

Weighing luggage can really be a lifesaver. DH usually stands on our scale with the luggage and subtracts his weight. We got stuck with 8lbs of luggage over the limit when Southwest changed from 75 to 50 pounds during our trip in 4/2005 (they literally changed during the trip). Fortunately we had an extra duffel bag rolled up in a suitcase that we didn't use and could put the stuff in that. A lady in front of us had to take out a ton of shoes and dirty clothes and carry them around in a bag because she was over the limit.

Are you going to have someone water your Christmas tree while you are gone? I was worried about getting one and having it dry out. I remember as a kid having ours dry out and fall over when we went on vacation. I don't want to wait too long and get stuck with a Charlie Brown tree, but wasn't sure ours would make it. I guess I could have a friend come water the tree along with our plants. DS9's only surviving fish died last week so no worries about setting up the fish food timer. Shows you who fed the poor thing because no one else has noticed it missing! We confirmed our puppy's kennel reservation and double checked that the boys teachers got their vacation excuse forms. Looks like ds9's 4th grade teacher is going to give him minimal make up work (she said he's a great student and doing advanced work) and can catch up anything else when we get back. DS5's kindergarten teacher said he already knows what they'll be working on and won't need to make anything up. That's a huge relief. DS9's 3rd grade teacher in January inundated him with make up work on a 5 day trip that took a good 2 hours a day to complete.

We'll probably be around the Mickey pool before the life boat drill in our matching blue Castaway Cay shirts. If you hear Keegan or Brennan's names being called, it's most likely us so stop and say hi. I'm sure there won't be too many other kids on board with the same names. Then again there was a Brennan R on our first DCL cruise (but it was a girl).

Andy (Verandah Man) posted a couple of pictures for me on our last cruise meets thread :http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=705789
of my family (I haven't gotten around to posting pictures myself on Disboards) on post #1158 page 78. Most of our cruise thread members did so just to put names/faces together so we'd know who to look for onboard at a Dismeet. Several of us met at the Mickey Pool for a quick meet on embarkation day since we didn't want to pull the kids out of the pool to meet in the Promenade lounge.

Yes, we got our tickets today!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I was too excited to see the UPS guy walk up to my door. So, see everyone next week!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Jotop-Congrats on receiving your documents. My parents still have not received theirs as of this afternoon. I think those that called DCL said they should be in by tomorrow.

We all can't wait for our vacation. We talk about it all the time. Looks like the weather should be awesome for us! It's actually supposed to be in the upper 60's here tomorrow and people are out cutting their grass. Doesn't really seem like it's almost December but I'm not complaining. I'd take this weather year round.

We got our docs last Tuesday! I still have to fill out the online check-in stuff, and pack. We leave Wednesday afternoon for our drive down.

Are we having a meet of some type?

The Mickey pool worked well as a meeting spot on our last cruise. We had a very short 10-15 minute Dismeet at 3PM so we could all put faces to names and get back to the fun with our families (and get ready for the life boat drill). Some Dis groups meet at the Promenade Lounge, but we knew with as many little kids that we had in our 5/13 group that we'd be better off meeting near a pool for everyone's sake. For those that enjoy adult beverages, there's a bar to the right of the entrance of the Mickey slide. The only problem that some of us had was only one person brought a lime green Mickey with their screen name on it and if we hadn't seen posted pictures and knew who to look for, it was hard to find everyone since we actually didn't give an actual spot at the pool. We found everyone under Mickey's hand of the slide. Anyone want to chime in with ideas?

Congrats on the doc's and thanks for the safe travel wishes!

Congrats on getting your documents Tetrimble! My parents called us an hour ago to let us know they got theirs this afternoon. DS5 made them DCL tickets last week out of construction paper to use when we got ours and they didn't.

I really hope the next 5 days fly by because the last day seems to be dragging!!! We have Army/Navy football game tickets for Saturday so it looks like Sunday's going to be our packing day. We leave Monday afternoon out of BWI.

Simbalic, keep checking Southwest for their ding rates. They had them again a couple of days ago. You can get credits from them for future flights. We have over $300 to use by next July from getting better rates after initial purchases on our last 2 flights we booked to MCO.

I hope everyone leaving soon has a safe trip to Florida and the port. We are really, really looking forward to WDW and being on the Wonder again.
