We're doing the land / sea and will be flying in from Baltimore on Dec. 3rd.
We'll be seeing you on Wonder Dec. 7!

There's 4 of us:

My husband and ME
DD, 8
DD, 11

We have NEVER been to WDW or on a Disney Cruise (or any cruise, for that matter). This will be a vacation of a lifetime for us...CAN'T WAIT!

It'll be nice to have others to chat with...BYE!

We're doing the land/sea also. We're staying at AKL, and flying in from CT on Saturday 12/2.

Hi Gang-
DH, DD3 and I will be joining you as well. First DCL trip and first MVMCP trip. Staying at WL for a couple of days after the cruise. I have changed our vacation plans from cruise only to WDW only, to our final plan- BOTH!



PS- Is anyone planning on getting passports? I have been on the fence about getting them (because of the expense)- thoughts? TIA.

I feel like December is taking a LONG time to get here!

NHMommy - I'm not sure about the passports either! I heard that we don't have to get them? Is that true?

TYTY - I didn't see that you mentioned other family members going with you in your posts. Do you have any children coming with you?

I'll have my 2 daughters (8 & 11) and I'm hoping that before we cruise, they might "get to know" other children via e-mail or post...

I started ordering things for the girls for Disney Gift baskets - if you guys haven't checked out toys plus usa you need to see it! I just bought fanny packs for $2.75 each (mickey & minnie are on the front).

We had passports from when we went on the Western Cruise on 2004. We weren't required to have them but we felt more comfortable having them.

Cruise in my party are DS(10) and myself in a room and in a connecting room are my friend, her DS(8) and her mother.

Waiting patiently for December!!!!

I was thinking about renewing my passport, I got it 15 yrs ago so this would be the last year to get the renewal rate. So I figure DH and DD should get one as well. I especially like the idea of getting one for my daughter because I don't have a picture ID for her. I don't think passports are needed until 12/31/06.
Is the weather in Dec warm enough to go swimming? I think the pools are heated on the ship.
I pre-ordered the Passporter for DCL. They are starting to ship the books later this week. I have an older edition of this book and it is a great book, much better than the official DCL guidebook.
Anyone planning on going to the MVMCP after the cruise? WDW just announced dates for the halloween party so dates for the Christmas party can't be too far away!

Hi NH Mommy,

You're right passports aren't needed until 12/31/06. As far as warm weather, the latest I've gone to WDW is early in November and it was warm enough to swim. Or should I say warm enough for us northeners.
It was in the 70's during the day.

We're going to WDW before the cruise, so we're going to the MVMCP before. I noticed the same thing yesterday that they should be announcing the dates very soon.

I just dread having to spend almost $400 for my family to get passports if we don't have to....yet!

If we don't bring passports, other than birth certificates, what would be needed...picture ID?

We'll be going to the MVMCP before the cruise as well! Where's the best place to watch out for the time/day announcements for December?

Maybe at some point, we'll all have to exchange a photo so we can look for each other on the ship!!!!

Hello!!! It's our FIRST Disney Cruise and we can't wait!! I'm buying all kinds of Disney stuff to wear and use on the cruise, it's driving my husband crazy !! We have a 5 yr old

Any advise for 1st time Disney Cruisers?
