This is our first trip to WDW for New Years. Just wondering which park is best for New Years Eve. I was leaning towards Epcot but my 2 teenage daughters think Magic Kingdom would be better. I am told we have to go there early in the day and stay as the parks will fill up early.

My three teenagers really enjoyed MGM on New Year's Eve a few years ago. We saw the band Sister Hazel perform as well as other live performances throughout the night. You absolutely must get to the park early (by noon or so) and stay there. They do in fact fill up. In fact our bus ride from the CR to MGM took over an hour, and this was at noon!

We went to MGM last NYE, got there when it opened, had booked a Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood and Vine, ate at around 4-5, then went to the fireworks, picked up our NYE hats and stuff and left by 9. With 5 kids under 15 at the time, this was fine with them. LOL-I think we were even asleep by 11! Enjoy but make PS where ever you decide to go and stay there all day! You probably will not get back in otherwise.

Epcot has a fabulous show for new years. we usually do Magic Kingdom though. Its just a family thing. It gets very crowded though as you would imagine on this day.

Horizons16 - you just reminded me of one of the other bands we saw at MGM on NYE a few years ago - "Vertical Horizon". Thanks.

I would vote for Epcot. MK will be sooooo packed that it won't be enjoyable--go early on New Years Day. MGM would be my second choice for NYE.

Epcot...But it'll just be me and my wife celebrating our 10 year anniversary (which is on NYE)

We were at Epcot last year and it was really really crowded...I can't imagine what MK would be like....

We also did MGM a few years ago and the bands were great....

So, my vote is Epcot first and MGM second....

Or go to MK and if you really can't stand it head to Epcot...my DH was able to entry Epcot as late as 7pm without a problem...

We arrived at WDW from Louisiana about 5PM on NYE. We checked into our resort and then headed to Disney Studios. It wasn't packed at all. They had about 4 or 5 Fantasmics scheduled for that night. They had great bands and we had a ball. I'd do that park again anytime on NYE.
